Monserrath

March 6th (Sukhothai Hotel)

Gia left around five minutes ago, to go and see Michael. I was definitely rooting for them to get together. Although I wanted them to get together, I was still extremely worried about how this would turn out, there was no doubt in my mind, she still had feelings for Luke.

I heard the seat beside me, move out and someone sit down, I looked to my right and saw none other than Ashton Irwin the extremely hot drummer from the same band as both Luke and Michael, "so what brings you here alone?" He asked, after he ordered a beer
"I wasn't alone, my friend just left me to go see her possible future boyfriend," I told him, "what about you?"
"Avoiding my band," he said, "I'm so done with the drama," he took a sip of the beer, "I'm Ashton by the way," he extended his hand for me to shake
"Oh I know," I told him, "Monti,"
"Wait? Monti, as in Dana's friend?" He asked, I wasn't surprised that he would have known who I was, "and Harry's ex?"
"The one and only," I confirmed
"So I'm assuming Dana went to see Mike?" He asked
"You got that right, I just hope she's okay, after everything she's been through, which you of course know about,"
"Yeah. My stupid ex girlfriend is responsible for some of that," he told me
"Ah yes, Bryana," I nodded, "I thought her and G, were friends?"
"What's with everyone calling Dana, G or Gia?" He asked
"They're just shorter for her full name," I told him, "just like Monti is short for something as well,"
"What's Monti short for?" He asked, "I knew that would have had to have been a nick name,"
"I'm not gonna tell you," I said, mainly because my full name is what I used when Gia and I sent the lyrics to Secret Love Song to Syco, "you won't be able to pronounce it,"
"Try me,"
"Okay fine," I gave in, "it's short for Monserrath,"
"Say that again?"
"Fine, one more time, Monserrath," I told him. I hated my name, it was too long and hard for most people to pronounce, I honestly hated my parents for giving me a traditional Spanish name

Ashton, spent the next five minutes attempting and failing to pronounce my full name, "see I told you, you wouldn't be able to pronounce it," I laughed
"Okay, fine you win," he laughed

The bar tender came around to clear my glass, "another one?" He asked
"Yeah, umm..." I tried to think of what I wanted to drink, "can I have a sex on the beach please?" I asked
"Coming up," he said and walked away to make my drink. He walked back over and handed it to me, telling me the price, and I went to pull out my purse to pay
"I'll get it," Ashton said, handing over the money to the guy
"Thanks," I smiled at him

"So tell me," I said, curious as to what happened with him and Bryana, "what happened with you and Bryana?"
"She got Luke to hook up with Arzaylea, and I didn't want that, ya know?"
"But why do you care?" I asked, "it's not like Arzaylea was hooking up with you,"
"No, she wasn't, but Luke was going out with Dana, and Arzaylea's intentions were obvious from day one, I just knew it would cause so much crap and Dana was like a sister to me,"
"It definitely did cause a lot of crap," I agreed, "but why would Bryana do that if her and Dana were friends?"
"Do you want me to be completely honest with you?" He asked me
"Sure,"
"I think Dana thought that her and Bryana were closer than they really were,"
"What do you mean?"
"Like, honestly, I think that Bryana was using Dana, because she didn't know anyone in Australia when we were down for a couple of weeks last year, and obviously I couldn't be with her twenty four seven,"
"Yeah, I get that. She needed someone to like hangout with when you were busy," He nodded, "but that still doesn't exactly explain, why she did what she did," I didn't really want to say the words, getting Luke to cheat on Gia, because even though it happened; the memories of what that did to my best friend were things I didn't want to remember.

"Another round?" The bar tender asked us around an hour later, and I nodded
"This time it's on me," I said to hazel eyed boy
"Can't let you do that," he laughed, "what kind of guy would I be, if I let a girl buy me a drink,"
"One that believes in equality," I said, matter of factly. I dug through my bag to get my purse out, so I could pay for the drinks
"Fine I'll let you buy this round then the rest are on me,"
"Looks like chivalry isn't dead after all,"
