Giordana

October 1st (Melbourne Cricket Ground, AFL Grand Final)

Today was quite possibly the biggest show of our lives; granted right now, no one was actually here to see us perform, they were here to watch about fifty guys running around in shorts and singlets; vying to be the champions of a sport that Australia called their own.

Fortunately enough, Monti and I had been invited to the AFL breakfast as well, which was much more enjoyable than last nights dinner. We were currently on our way to the G, as Melbournian's called it. The city was decorated in blue white and red. The colours of the Western Bulldogs, one of the teams that were playing today. I was so excited; my mood over the last twenty four hours had changed drastically. I woke up earlier than my alarm, prepared for the day. It seemed that the adrenaline of performing had not vanished; given what had gone on since Thursday night, like I thought they may have. Even the paparazzi surrounding the hotel, and the MCG as we were leaving, didn't even bother me. I was just so fucking keen to perform. Today was going to be huge! And I couldn't wait for what was about to come. Our music would be heard by thousands upon thousands of people, from every demographic there was; and we would be spending the day with one of my all time favourite bands, The Living End. I had pretty much been a fan of them since day one.

"Do you think the guys have learnt the song?" Monti asked, "they legit only had like a day,"
"You better hope so," Holly said, "I'm pretty sure they spent all day yesterday learning it after Sunrise,"
"Thank God!" I let out a sigh of relief, "dude," I turned to Monti, "we get to meet Sting and Chris fucking Cheeny," I mentioned the lead singer of the Living End; and Sting, who was, and always will be a rock legend
"Fan girl," she said, "find your chill, it's going to be a long day,"
"I know,"

"You look unusually happy for someone that's gone through what you've been through the last couple of days," Michael said to me, just as we were preparing to go on the stage that was placed in the middle of the stadium
"I'm just excited," I told him, "as soon as I wake up tomorrow, I'll be a mess,"
"Hopefully after this," he began, "the rush of performing will still be the same for you,"
"Yeah, it doesn't get much bigger than this," I told him, "is this how you felt for MSG?" I asked
"Probably," he said, "I wasn't as nervous after we had our talk,"
"I know," I smiled, "I could tell,"
"I'm glad I have you back in my life G," he said, "even if it is just as your best friend,"
"I was thinking a lot about that since we had our chat back in New York, and again in Mexico," I admitted, I really had, "and maybe we just weren't meant to be,"
"I understand," he admitted, "a guy can hope though right?"
"You can," I said honestly, "but I'm not even thinking about it right now, I think if I decide not to get back with Brian, I'm taking a break from guys, and focusing on my career, so much of what's happened to me lately has been about guys, and I need a break,"
"You deserve it," he said, "you've had your heart broken too many times, in the last twelve months, and I'm sorry I did that to you,"
"It's in the past Mikey," I reassured him
"But it doesn't change what I did, what I said," he told me, "I realise now that what I said was wrong, I should have gotten your side of the story before I started making accusations,"
"Like I said it's in the past,"
"I guess it's just a little too late," he shrugged, giving me a sad smile, "I'm sorry I made the first couple of weeks of this tour hell for you, and I regret everything I said to you back in March,"
"I know you do, and that's why you'll always be my best friend, and why I'll always love you," he leaned in and gave me a hug, "I've missed you Clifford," I told him, hugging him back
"I've missed you too Angelo,"

Finally it was time for us to perform, and I was jumping with excitement. I couldn't contain it anymore. We played through our usual stuff, before it was time for us to give our first live of Hell and Back, "okay Melbourne!" I screamed in to the microphone, "we'd like to welcome some amazing friends of ours here right now! They're a huge part of what we've accomplished,"
"And it wouldn't be right, if they didn't play this song with us for you guys this afternoon!" Monti continued, "Please welcome to the MCG..."
"5 SECONDS OF SUMMER!" we both screamed into our microphones.
Calum started off with the base line of the track, and it was perfect.
