I slowly made my way back home. I didn't want to go back, I'd had such a good night with Michael and than hanging out with Jack, both of them managed to take my mind off what my reality was. Deciding between a having a solo career and risk losing my best friend, and the possibility of actually losing her regardless of what I chose. There was one thing I was looking forward too, and that was working with Camila next week. It had been so long since I'd been able to sit down and just write. Even though I was currently under the influence of alcohol, I had found some sort of inspiration in the bar I was at and began tapping my fingers on the bar to a beat. I wanted to get to my guitar and begin playing it so I wouldn't forget it.

I made it home just before one am, and I thought everyone would have been asleep, I was shocked to find Jai and Andy in the living room, "where have you been?" Jai asked, "you left the guys hours ago,"
"I hung out with Jack," I shrugged, knowing he wouldn't care who that is
"Who?" Andy asked
"Jack from All Time Low," I told them, "he's been like an older brother to me, since Monti and I moved here,"
"Hope you're not replacing me," Andy laughed
"Is that G?" I heard Holly call from down the corridor
"What's up?" I asked
"Can you come to Monti's room?"
"Is everything okay?" I asked, and quickly made my way to the room, worried that something would have happened while I was gone

Once I got there, I walked inside, seeing that Crystal and Holly were sitting on the bed, and Monti thankfully looked fine, "everything's fine," Crystal said, "we just have a few things to talk about,"
"So what's up?"
"So as you know the Grammy Awards are coming up next month,"
"They are?" I asked, and then suddenly remembered that Monti and I were nominated, "oh right,"
"So obviously, Monti won't be in attendance, I just received an email, asking if Monti was going to be well enough to go, and I spoke to her doctor and he said no,"
"So?" I asked, desperately wanting this conversation to be over, so I could go and memorise the beat that i was slowly forgetting
"So we want to know if you're still going to go, because I've had designers emailing me, asking if they can dress you for the night,"
"To be honest, I don't think it's right for me to go with out Monti," I told them, "I know all the reporters on the red carpet will ask me about you, and i don't want that, we haven't even made anything about your condition public,"
"I think you should go G," Monti said, "we deserve this, you deserve to walk up on stage and accept that award!"
"Or awards," Holly put in
"But they wanted us to perform, and I can't do that with out you,"
"Yes you can," she said, "you've got so many songs that you could perform with out me,"

The girls eventually made me give in, and agree to go. And that was when I knew it was time to tell Monti about my meeting with Feldy earlier today, "do you guys mind if I speak to Monti privately for a minute?"
"Go for it," Crystal said, and both her and Holly left the room
"What's up?" Monti asked
"I honestly didn't think I'd tell you this so soon, but I had a meeting with Feldy today,"
"And what did he say?"
"Well I start writing with Camila Cabello next week, she wants me to help with the lead single for her solo album,"
"That's great," Monti said, "but I get the feeling there's more to it,"
"There is, and I'm not sure if I'm okay with it," I told her, "at least not yet, and not just that..." I didn't know how to finish that sentence, "I don't want you to think I'm a bad person, if I do agree to do this,"
"Feldy mentioned a solo project didn't he?" She asked
"How did you know?"
"I didn't, I just guessed. I'm not stupid though,"
"What do you mean?"
"G, it was bound to happen, you can't just sit on your ass and wait for me to get better, when we know that might not happen, and even if it does, we both know it could be months before I'm even able to get out of bed, let alone get back in the studio,"
"What are you saying?" I asked
"I'm telling you to do it," she said, "I don't hate you, and I won't, you need to do what's best for you, and that's for you to continue on this adventure..."
"The adventure we started together, I wouldn't be anywhere with out you,"
"And neither would I,"
