We sighed at the end of our laughter
"Hit me with the time mama." Joey said as he scrolled through his phone.
"But you're on your phone."
"Oh, you right. It's 12:17."
"Slow ass, Joey." He looked up and gave me a look "Time was just going at a steady pace. Now it's zooming past like fuck 11 o clock." I continued
"Da fuck you talking about?"
"Time, nigga."
"Oh yeah, yeah! It is going fast. What's next? The end of break tomorrow?" He joked
"Hope not." I smiled
"You know...you pretty cool but can be a maddddd bitch."
"Joey...okay!"
"No, no, no, not "okay" You so different!!! It's so awesome I found a girl that ain't ratchet...you can argue a storm but you fine with me. I admire you."
I was flattered with all the nice things he was saying. He was talking to me like I'm his favorite basketball player or someone famous. His role model.
"I appreciate th-" He cut me off. It's starting to bug me a little
"That's it!!!! You can't be real!" He got up
"What?!"
"YOU APPRECIATE!!!" He was jumping up and down like a little girl
"WHY NOT?!" I stood up. "When some says something or does something nice you say thank you, you appreciate it. I don't know what girls you been kickin' it with but they seem shitty."
"Swear to bob you act like my mom. And my mama is all I have next to pro era and now you."
