We made it to the Bronx and man did it bring back memories. I got out the car and Laila led us to the apartment.
"Laila this is Grand Concourse. Jerome Avenue is ten minutes away." I said.
"Ten minutes away is not long." She said as we took the elevator to Issa's apartment.
Laila knocked four time and the door opened.
"Laila Rogers." He said.
"My nigga Issa. This squad right here. We need your help."
He scanned us, nodded his head and let us in.
"So what's up?" He sat on his couch as we all stood up and circled him. "Um...you guys can take a seat...makin' me nervous."
Half of us sat down.
"We got a problem. We need you to find out who these people are. Lemme see y'all phones."
We gave Laila our phones with the messages on them.
"I deleted them though...." I said
"No worries, I can retrieve them on my PC." He got up. "Come."
We followed him to some type of tech room.
"God damn niglet! How many wires and electronics do you need!?" Dessy asked as he touched some of them.
"Don't touch. I need everything the way it is now." He sat in front of the computer and hooked my phone up to it and every single one of my messages popped up. I told him which ones they were and he did his thing.
"It's gonna take me a while so if you guys wanna watch tv in the living room you can."
We went to the living room but ended up talking instead of watching his crappy ass TV.
"I hope this works." I said as I rocked back and forth.
"Stop rockin'! Makin' this feel like a waiting room." Aliyah said as she elbowed me lightly.
"My bad! I just wanna get to the bottom of this. Find out who it is, report them and get on with our lives." I sighed. "It's that simple."
"Hope it is "that simple"!" Joey said.
"Issa is a genius! I'm sure he'll figure at least where they are if he doesn't find who is doing this." Laila assured us.
"Well. We can only hope for the best, huh?" Kirk said as he pulled out a pack of gum.
We all circled Kirk. "What...?"
"You better share!" Aliyah said.
Kirk huffed as he put a stick of gum in all of our hands. We thanked him and continued with our talk.
"What if our stalkers are just some creepy old people?" Kwon said as he looked up.
I smacked his arm. "Shut up!"
"Ouch!" He fell on the floor and rolled around.
"You know damn well that did not hurt!" I said as I kicked him lightly.
"It diddddddd!" He put water on his eye pretending he was crying.
"Boy whatever! I ain't got time for your nonsense."
He got up off the floor and sat next to me again. "Next time you hit me I'm getting Pow on you!"
"I don't hit women!" Powers said from a distance.
