The clock struck seven o clock I clutched the turquoise squid thingy plush Kwon bought me at Target, I bought him a yellow squid hat. (Target is life) My aunt called
Aunt: Hey, are you ok?
Me: Yes! I'm great.
Aunt: Good. I need you to come home though. It's getting dark
Me: I got you. I was on my way home anyway
Aunt: Alright. See you soon, Hun.*click*
"Your mom askin' 'bout you?" Kwon asked as we returned to the train station, we were just in time for our ride.
"My aunt actually."
"Nice. Hope I don't sound rude or like I'm making a reference to that vine but Where's your mother?"
"In North Carolina."
"Oh cool! I have one question for you..."
I expected a WHAT ARE THOSEEEEEE but he asked why I trusted him to take me out.
"I don't know, I guess you just seemed nice. God I'm stupid but I don't regret it. You're really nice and cool." I took off his sweatshirt and gave it back to him. The train was cold but I'll last.
"Thanks." He smiled and looked down at the ground
"Kwon?"
"Yes?" He put the sweatshirt on.
"You're great. Don't let anyone tell you any different."
"Thank you. I really appreciate that and damn you smell good." He sniffed the shirt "Smells like fuckin'..."
I laughed "Smells like what?"
"I don't know what but it smells like some good expensive ass shit."
"Not really. It's some off brand perfume my neighbor in Charlotte gave me for my birthday."
He shrugged and continued to smell his shirt.

We rode back home. He walked me to my apartment and I hugged him goodbye.
I felt like my aunt and I need to get a little bit closer though now that I think about it. We never really had a conversation, we had an argument but I think it's time for a nice aunty and niece talk"Hey aunty!" I said as I closed the door smiling
"Why you smiling and why do you have a Squid?" She made a face
"I can't smile and what's wrong with my squid!?"
"You can but something has had to happen for you to be cheesing and ain't nothing wrong with that nigga. He a homie now." She said from the couch in the living room
"I just had a good time today and what if I was smiling cause life is good. You can smile for "no reason"."
"Oh yeah? Come tell me about it and stop calling me just aunty. You make me feel old."
I sat down "What do you want me to call you then?"
"Aunty Alex or Aunty Alexandria."
"Your name makes all the difference?"
"Mhm now tell me about your day and where my our nigga squid came from."
"Ok. Don't interrupt. Just listen. With your ears. Earsssss, your earssssss. The things you use to hea-"
"OKAY!"
"Okay so I know you're gonna say I told you so but Joey did break my heart but one of his Pro's, Kwon dried my tears and we went out to Manhattan by train. We ate at Ben's and we went to Target, he bought me this squid and I bought him a yellow squid hat."
She took a deep breath. "So you went to Manhattan with a stranger...?"
"Well. He- yeah. Basically." I held my head down in shame. How stupid. I know I said that I don't regret it, I don't but going with him was very Stupid
"I don't have a problem with you befriending a guy but you don't go to different boroughs with him. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad you made it home safely but that was extremely stupid and dangerous what you did. He could have did something to you or way worse. Every time you leave the house I need you to text or call me. That's ridiculous."
"I understand. That was very slow of me to go out with him like that."
