I woke up in the dark living room with two other girls in the kitchen.
"She's pretty banged up..." One of them said.
"Shh! She's up."
They both walked over to me with smiles on their faces.
"Hey there!!" One said sweetly. "I'm Aliyah."
"Laila!" The other one said. "You're Leslie right!?"
I held my head and sat up. "Mhm."
"Wow! Quincy told me that you're Trevor's wife." Laila cheered. "I'm Quincy's wonderful wifey."
"Quincy?" I said.
"Yup!" She chirped. Her excitement was a little aggravating, she sounded like a ghetto valley girl. So did Aliyah.
"We saw what Trevor did to you. You'll get used to it, just be on your best behavior and your whole body won't be sore like it is now." Aliyah sat down next to me and held my hands.
I pulled my hands away. "I don't wanna get used to it. I forgot what we were arguing about for me to get my ass beat and knocked out anyway."
"Aw. Poor thing, let's get you some food and we shall talk." Laila said as she walked to the kitchen.
I got up but stumbled back.
"Got up too quickly!" Aliyah giggled.
I ignored their jolly attitude and followed them to the kitchen without talking. I ain't feel like eating so I just child out trying to figure out what's happened.
"Our caretakers are upstairs." Laila said.
"Caretaker?" I asked while limping to the fridge to get some water.
"Yes silly!" Aliyah laughed at my confusion. Ain't nothing funny, I'm confused as shit.
"What does it mean when they're our caretakers?" I put my head on my chin and leaned over the counter.
"It's in the word dumb ass." Laila rolled her eyes.
I ignored her and thought about the word and quickly found out what it was.
"Sooooo...yeah. Have you guys been out of this house before?" Laila took a bite out of a chips ahoy.
"No." Aliyah and I said.
"Me neither. We should go see how the outside world looks." She smirked and finished her cookie
"Right now!?" Aliyah looked at Laila like she had two heads. "No thanks. We can learn from what happened to our friend here.
I looked down in embarrassment. "Yeah."
"Fine. Scared bitches." Laila mumbled and poured some orange juice into a glass.
Aliyah rolled her eyes at her saltiness. "Whatever Laila. You do you."
