{April 30th}
Keenon.

"Let me say goodnight to her." I tell Teyana for the third time over FaceTime.

"She is in her crib Keenon, chill." She rolls her eyes.

I chuckle. "Fine. You look good."

She smirks, "Thanks." But then she frowns.

"What's wrong babygirl?"

"I miss you Keenon."

"I miss you too."

"Why did you lie to me?"

I furrowed my eyebrows. "About what?"

"Why you left...you didn't leave because we're having problems."

I licked my lips and my heads hung low. "How you know?"

"I know you. You're doing what you think is right but you shouldn't have lied to me."

"I'm sorry."

"How long are you going to be down there?"

"Until I get a job or you get a job, something like that."

Teyana.

At that time I considered telling Keenon that I've been working at the strip club for about a week now but I just couldn't, I can't disappoint him yet, not just yet.

"I gotta go Keenon." I say.

"Babe no, please don't." He implores.

I sighed, refusing to look him in his eyes and be convinced to stay and skip work.

"When am I going to see you babe?"  I changed the subject.

"You want me to come over tonight?"

"I don't know, I mean, I'm kind of tired tonight." I lied.

"It's cool, we don't gotta do nothing, we can chill."

"Tomorrow night?"

"Tonight?"

"Tomorrow night, babe it's already 10 o'clock."

"Fine, I'll just stay here and be alone."

"You're not going out tonight?"

"Out where."

"I don't know, you used to always go out, especially since you're already in Compton, why don't you go out?"

"Got work to do."

"Mmm."  I hummed. "Well I'm about to go to sleep."

"Alright, I love you."

"I love you more."
