Keenon.
"Maybe she'll like this one." Eric says, pointing to a diamond ring.
"Nah, I want something gold with a ruby on it." I said.
"That's gonna cost a lot." He reminds me.
"So what? She's worth it." I travel the small jewelry store again looking at rings that we had already past but did not acknowledge.
I pulled up a picture of the ring I want on my phone to show the clerk.
"Do you have something like this?" I asked her.
She nods and introduces us to a entirely different room. A dark room, the only light coming from the lightbulb shining on the ring cases and the few night lights.
Shortly after looking around I found the perfect ring.
"Give me this one." I demand, for sure of my decision.

Teyana.
"What are you at WaWa for?" Demetrius asked through the screen of my phone.
"To get a breakfast burrito."
"You need to be hurrying up."
"For what? The busses don't leave until 9 o'clock, and it's eight fifteen."
"You're always late to something and don't even care."
"I'm not going to be late." Me and Demetrius both are going on King's first field trip to some apple orchard. We both wanted to go and didn't want to give so we both decided on going.
"Let me talk to my baby Deme."
I watch him hand the phone to King.
"Hey baby."
"Mommy?"
"Yeah?"
"Are you going to be late." I suck my teeth as I hear Demetrius laugh.
"No babe I'm gonna be on time. Ok?"
"Okay."
"Bye bye."
"Bye mommy."
I paid for my burrito and left the store. Deme and I met at King's school.
"Get in Demetrius, what are you doing?"
"I was just making sure my son is alright, chill."
"Why wouldn't he be alright?"
"I don't know."
"Anyways.." I mumble and turn up the radio.
We're taking my car and have to follow the busses.
On the highway, Demetrius randomly says, "I've got something for you."
"What is it?"
He made an envelope appear and handed it to me. I opened it and inside was a wad of cash.
"Demetrius what is this?" I glance at him.
"I want you to go back to school, so there you go."
"W-What? I can't accept this."
"Why not?"
"I mean, I want to go back I really do but I don't have ti-"
"Make time. Look one day your kids all gonna be grown and what are you going to do with no degree? Or even before they grow up you have to lead by example, just try."
