Keenon.
"The key is in the drawer Teyana."
"What are you getting smart for?"
"Ain't nobody getting smart with you, yo." I chuckle.
"When will you be home?"
"I told you already, like 2 or 3."
"I'll be sleep by then."
"Well that's too bad."
"Baby Come back soone-"
"I gotta go Tey."
"I love you."
"I love you too mama bye." I hung up my phone and stuffed it in my pocket.
I paced back and forth on the sidewalk before looking back at the club and deciding not to go back in there.
I crossed street to Church's Chicken. I sat down and with my face in my phone.
Doing exactly nothing, scrolling back and forth on the home screen trying to find something to do.
I only ordered fries. I don't have my car, I rode with my friends.
A group of girls walked in. I looked up and then paid attention to my phone again.
I heard a chair screech. I looked up and one was sitting next to me.
She smiled and I said hi and looked back down.
She asked me if I was from around here. I told her yes.
I didn't feel like talking to nobody right now.
She was pretty though.
She's light-skin with long red hair, thick too.Her friends called her, telling her they were ready to go.
"No" she said, "I'm staying here."
"What Mina? Come on."
"No I'm fine, I'll find a ride home."
"Your mom is going to be worried." Her friend argues.
"Ya mom? Baby girl I think you might be a little too young for me."
"I'm nineteen."
I didn't say anything.
"Imani go home, I'll talk to you tomorrow."
Her friend gives in. "Call me if you need me Mina, don't get in no trouble."
With that she walked out.The girl scoots closer to me.
"You have a girlfriend?"
"I have a wife."
She picks up my hand. "Where is your ring?"
