Teyana."Do you have any previous experience working in a club?" The club owner asked me.
"I was a bartender." I answered her nodded and wrote something down on his paper.
"Any exotic dancing jobs before?"
"No."
"Have you ever even had experience with the pole?"
"Umm, I've taken pole dancing classes before."
"Was that to prepare for a job?"
"No."
"Okay." He sighed and slid the paper off to the side. "Why do you want this job?"
"Well, I just lost my job and I need to provide for my family somehow so..."
He nods again. "I'll let you know if you get the job Ms.....?"
"Taylor, Teyana Taylor."
"Oh yeah, goodbye Ms. Taylor."
I walked to my car. I sat in the front seat. I stared at the flyer in my hand, that I had decided to grab.
Stripping
Parties
Bar Service
Private Dances
Stripper BoxingI stopped there, stripper boxing?
I mean, I've heard of it but I just hoped that it's not required.Earlier I thought about how I am going I tell Keenon that I have applied for a stripping job.
I know that he'll be ashamed, disappointed, probably even disgusted.
I decided not to tell him but I fear that if he finds out he won't look at me the same.
I can understand though, his fiancé dancing practically naked for horny, drunk men without him knowing. I'm damn near disgusted myself but I know that this is what I have to do in order to provide for us.
When I left the club I had to drive to Compton to pick up King.
The drive took shorter than usual. When I got to his house I knocked twice on the door.
The girl...his girlfriend opened the door quickly.
She clearly wasn't paying any attention because when she opened the door she immediately said, "I'll be right back, I need to get my money."
When she finally decided to pay an ounce of attention she looked me up and down, confused.
"Teyana right, King's momma?" She smacked on her gum in my face.
I nodded, "Yup, that's me." I rolled my eyes.
She extended the door and allowed me in.
"I'll go get him, you can wait here."
I nodded, she may not be so bad after all.
I hear her yell from upstairs, "King baby, get your bag your mommy is here."
It kind of bothered me that she called my son baby but I didn't let it get to me too much.
