As I turned, I gasped. "I'm sorry if I startled you, darling," he said. "Oh my gosh!!! You-your-you're the prince!" I stuttered. "Indeed I am," he chuckled lightly. "A pleasure it is to meet you," he held out his hand, expecting me to shake it. Hehe, NO, I'm NOT going to fall for some cheesy prince. Instead of shaking his hand, I slapped it... quite hard. "OW! What was that for! What did I do to upset you, darling!" he exclaimed, trying to keep his composure. "Shall I make a list? One- don't call me darling till you mean it. 2- I'm NOT going to fall in love with you just so that you have a *companion* to rule with. And 3- I never wanted to be here!!!" I screamed, and turned on my heel to leave.

However, I'm just not that graceful, especially when I'm mad, so I end up falling. I feel a strong arm encircle my waist tightly. It pulls me back onto my feet, and I turn to thank whoever helped me. Oh, it was the prince.

"Humph, thank you" I mutter very quietly. "Pardon me, but I didn't hear you," he smiles, raising an eyebrow. "I said thank you," I spoke sharply, and turned around to walk away. "I don't think so," he said, grabbing my waist again. "I don't think you're supposed to be talking with any of the ladies right now, Your Highness," I spat out the last two words. "Ahh, but I can do whatever I want, after all I'm royalty," he grinned, and turned me around. "Now, I believe that since I just helped you, you need to do me a favor," he said. "How about...hmmmm...what would be fitting for a young lady who just doesn't want to be here...oh!," he exclaimed, "I got it!"

"What!? Do you want me to clean the horse stalls or be your personal maid for 3 months, or how about making me wear dresses for the entire time I'm here. That would be...what...2 years of wearing dresses?" I asked sarcastically. "No, however I do like the last one that you mentioned. I was thinking that you would have to go out on a date with me tomorrow," he asked, a mischievous smile spreading across his face. "Um, absolutely NOT," I tried to run away, but running with a floor-length gown is quite difficult. I had gotten away from him, but not by much. I turned, and I saw him laughing. "What!?" I demanded. "Forgetting something?" he wiggled is eyebrows, and held up one of my shoes. Great, I didn't even realize he had that. I walked over to him, trying to gather up as much confidence as possible.

"I know you have a soft spot," he strided toward me. "Yeah, sure," I said, rolling my green eyes. He stared at me for a minute. "Ahem, I believe you have something that's mine," I tried to get out of the awkward moment. "Um, yeah, right..." he gave me the shoe and said, "You know, this is a riding school too."

"I know."

"Want to go riding for our date?"

"I guess that's better than doing something romantic."

"Do you have a horse?"

"Yes, I brought it cause you said to bring one on the letter you sent me."

"Oh, right. I will see you soon, darling."

"Watch it," I warned, and left.

"Oooohhh," Aurelie sang. "Look who's flirting with the prince!"

"I'm not flirting," I defend.

"Oh, really..." she said, "From what I saw, he grabbed your waist twice, he asked you on a date, and you had an awkward moment when you just stared into each others' eyes."

"Well, he di-WAIT. How did you know he asked me out on a date?" I asked, suspicious. "Um, I might have been eavesdropping, but let's forget about that," she admitted. "I think orientation is happening soon, so let's go to our dorms," Aurelie said, and grabbed her suitcases. I did too, and we walked over to the dorms.
