Brianna's PoV:
After last night and the whole "confession", I am EXHAUSTED. I could probably fall asleep for like 7 more hours if I wanted to. I slowly get up from my bed and zombie-walk over to my bathroom. "Makeup... argh," I moan, and debate whether to go au-naturelle or Kim Kardashian. I hear footsteps and I half expect it to be Evan. But no, it's Aur... not that I'm disappointed that it wasn't Evan... hehe. "Hey Aurelie!" I greet, and hug her. "Hey!" she smiles and twirls around in a silver gown with white and black accents. "Gorge," I laugh, and quickly head into the closet to change into my gown, a black silk high-low. "Perfect," Aur grins and puts a silver tiara in my hair. The entire "theme" of the gathering that we're having at the Silvercrest Gardens is white, black, and grey.
Aurelie and I walk next to each other to get Krista from her dorm. For a split second, I see Aurelie looking at my upper-chest area... but I must've imagined it. She tries to hold my hand, and I let her. "Feeling extra friendly today?" I laugh, and she smiles. We knock on Krista's door and wait for her to open it. When it does open, I'm blinded by a pure white, short tulle dress. "Whatcha think?" she spins, and her usually curly blonde hair is straightened, well... partly. "Umm, hair?" I motion towards the half curly, half straight, kinda wavy hair. "Umm, yeah, the struggles of being born with a natural afro," she pulls her hand through her curls.
When we reach the garden, I see many guys talking. Well, not as many as when the whole competition started. I recognize a couple just because I've seen them walk past my dorm, but other than that, the picnic is kinda "split" with girls on one side and boys on the other. A few of the boys look at me and whistle softly. Whooaa... this isn't High School Musical 3... calm down- I'm not Sharpay. Lady Hope is by herself, looking in a compact mirror and adding waaaay more eyeshadow than needed. I think her "smoky eye" got a little too smoky. Her eyes shift up towards Aurelie, Krista and me. Then, she rolls her eyes, flips her hair, and frowns. Wow... I think she has an enlarged ego disorder.
I hear someone clearing their throat, and I look up to see the prince and the King. "Good morning, students," the King addresses us. "Good morning, your Majesty," we all chant, sounding like robots. "We will be hosting an elimination today... so some of you won't be staying here much longer," he glares at me. Why is dude still here??? Oh right... we need someone to rule our country and the prince is too busy hosting some stupid love competition. I bet to him, this is like The Bachelor. I glare back at him, hoping to portray at least a little bit of fake confidence. "One suitor and one lady will be eliminated, so... good luck," he leaves and lets the prince and princess take the stage. "For the suitors, the man who will be leaving us is..." the princess pauses for a dramatic effect, "Prince Douglas. I'm sorry, you've been a joy to this competition. I will send maids to help you pack," Princess Camilla.
"And for the ladies..." the prince looks at each and every one of us, stopping at Hope, "Lady Aurelie... I'm sorry, I know how much you meant to the rest of these young ladies," he motions at me, Krista and Hope. I'm pretty sure I heard Hope snort, but it was so quiet I honestly have no idea. I'm about to run up to Evan and scream at him for eliminating my best friend, but I'm quickly pulled out of my trance when Aurelie grabs my arm, as well as Krista's.
"I need to tell you something... I haven't told anybody yet..." she whispers, while dragging us behind some foliage. Krista and I both nod, waiting.
"I think... I have a problem," she says so softly, it's inaudible.
"Like what? I'm sure there's nothing wrong with you," I assure. Krista nods, agreeing with me.
I watch as Aurelie takes a deep breath, and slowly lets it out, opening her mouth to speak.
"I think... I think I'm... umm... I'm lesbian."
