I wake up and head down to the common room, where they will announce the other people who are eliminated. I see the king standing on the stage. I wonder where the queen is... I was beginning to really like her, especially when she admitted that she was on my side. The princess is there, and so is Evan. Their faces are both sad, and a tear trickled out of the princess's eye.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we have multiple announcements," the king states, a frown drawn on his face. "First, the elimination. As most of you already know, 2 people were already eliminated due to cruel actions. So, we have chosen just 2 people to eliminate... one lady and one suitor. Sir Jax, you have been eliminated, as we said yesterday. Lady Grace-Anne, you have also been eliminated," he informs, and then 2 guards come in to export them to their cars.
"We also have another sad announcement. My wife, Queen Delphie, had an accident. Sh-she was shot last night," he bursts into tears, but quickly wipes them away, trying to seem strong. Marabelle fake cries, and I cry as well. "Why are so many people dying?" I think, tears trickling down my cheeks.
The princess is bawling, and Evan is hugging her. I feel a hint of jealousy, even though I know they are siblings. The king is stiff as a board, and his face is straight. I try to picture the Queen, her gentle face, the warm look that she gave strangers and friends alike, her natural beauty. Memories flood my mind, and I see Krista crying as well.
After the announcements, I head back to my dorm. To me, Grace-Anne's departure means nothing, since I never really met her. I secretly wish that Marabelle was eliminated, but Evan had explained to me that they had to keep her, or else the public would be mad. I understood, but I was still angry at Mara.
I look up to see Evan leaning against the door, looking super cute. His hair is slightly ruffled, and his blue eyes are warm. "Hello, darling," he says, smirking. "Ugh, you know what I'm going to say to that," I warn, laughing. Then I stop. "Are you okay?" I politely ask. "I still can't believe she's dead, she's the only person who was nice to me... besides you and my sister of course," he admits. "I'm so upset at my father though. I know that he loved her, but he never shows his feelings. And at this point, he needs to. The public needs to know that he's a normal person and not some snobby king. He hasn't even shed a real tear yet," he says solemnly. I nod, listening. "He wants the funeral to involve the entire country so that the paparazzi can see him fake being sad and mourning," Evan shakes his head, "But I know it won't work. He's already broken our people's trust. He keeps promising to change things about society, but he never does. People have lost faith in him."
I nod. His eyes look foggy, and a tear slips out. "She's gone, Bree, she's gone..." he cries. "You're okay... you will live," I rub his back, and kiss him on the cheek. "One more kiss?" he asks hopefully. I reach in to give him another kiss on the cheek, but right as I do, he turns and I end up kissing his lips. He chuckles, and sticks out his tongue. "I hate you!" I laugh.
He stops smiling, and frowns. "Time to plan for the funeral... fun...." he says sarcastically. I grin and he walks out.
---Just saying... I'm going to skip the Queen's funeral cuz I feel like I'm writing about a lot of deaths... sorry!!!--- queen_of_glam
