I hurry to get ready for my date. "Geez, already late," I groan and look up at the clock. I pull on a white tunic and some light blue jeans. Since Evan said this is casual, I decided to make the most of it because usually I have to wear dresses and gowns. I leave my hair in natural waves and walk to the movie theater.
I open the door to see Evan already sitting in a chair, scrolling through all the movies. "Thanks for waiting," I say sarcastically. He grins and pats the seat next to him. "Sorry, but it's not my fault that the person I'm having a date with is so slow," he laughs. I roll my eyes and stick my tongue out at him. I settle into the seat and put my legs up onto the ottoman. "Ready?" Evan asks, his thumb hovering above the play button. I nod, and we watch the screen.
After the movie is over, I glance over at Evan. "Gosh, Chris Pratt is so hot," I gush. "As hot as me?" Evan wiggles his eyebrows. I smile playfully and say, "Yes, way hotter than you."
"I'm going to pretend that you don't mean that."
"Oh, but I do."
"No you don't."
"FINE. I don't. You're much more handsome than he is," I finally say. He grins mischievously, and pulls me into his lap. "What are you doing?!" I squeal, and he covers my mouth. I squirm in his arms, which strongly grips my waist, and tugging me in closer and closer to Evan's chest. "I'll let you go if you will play truth or dare," he offers. "What kind of deal is that? I'll gladly play truth or dare," I answer, suspicious about what he's going to do.
"Okay, would you like to start?" Evan asks, being quite the gentleman (as usual). "Sure... truth or dare?" I ask. "Dare," he replies, his inner boy coming out. "Kay... um... I dare you to swallow 5 pieces of popcorn without chewing," I say, handing him the box of popcorn. He looks unsure, "Is that even physically safe, Bree?" he wonders. I shrug my shoulders casually as if it's no big deal. He takes the popcorn and puts 5 in his mouth. "Ugh..." he groans. "You have to swallow them!" I sing. He just nods, and closing his eyes tightly, swallows them. Or at least, he tries to. "Elch!" he spits them out, and runs his fingers through his hair. "Ewww. Evannn," I complain, "Why did you have to spit them out!?"
"Um, cause if I didn't, I would choke," he rolls his eyes. We pick up the popcorn and throw it away. "Okay... Bree... truth or dare?"
Me, being a girl that doesn't want to have to do what Evan just did, picks truth. "Truth, obviously," I grin. He thinks for a moment, looking up at the ceiling. "Brianna... even though this is a game... the question that I'm about to ask you is by all means serious. Are you positive you want to pick truth," he warns. "Yes," I respond, wondering what he's going to ask me.
"Brianna... do you love me?"
