Marabelle's PoV:

I bite my lip, silently rehearsing my lines in my head. I'm immediately interrupted by a knock at my door. "Mara?" a feminine voice tentatively asks. "Is that Brianna?" I walk over to the door, slipping on some slippers. "Yep. And Krista," another voice replies. I open the door and am shocked when I see Bree's dress (shown above). "Hello!" Bree squeals and grabs my arm. "What are you doing?!" I stumble after her, with Krista following close behind me.

We end up near the Royal Suites, and soon, I am literally shaking. "Calm down, Mara... or else the King will surely know why you're here," Krista laughs and fixes my hair. Soon, I'm walking confidently down the hallway, looking out for any guards. Brianna walks in front of me, her eyes on the lookout for any curious maids. That's when she trips and falls. I rush over to her, but am too late... but I guess that's a good thing for her. Evan has her waist, and helps her up. "Clumsy much?" he chuckles, and kisses her lightly on the cheek. I watch Bree's face turn from normal to a warm pink. "What are you doing here?" he asks, raising an eyebrow. "Ummm...." she looks at me and at Krista, then back at the prince. "In other words, tell me what you're doing here," his face stern.

I decide to step in. "I need to talk to his Majesty."

"Why?"

"Cause... um... well... he had a deal with me.... but I decided to end it after I talked with Bree," I admit. His face turns cold, his eyes like stone, but in a worried way, not in a mean way. He mutters something under his breath, but then looks at me. "What did he do?" he whispers. I debate whether to tell him or not. "He... well... don't get mad or anything... but he told me what he planned to do with you when you grow up," I say. When he looks at me, trying to signal me to continue, I end up telling him everything. Bree already knows all of the info, so she calmly holds Evan's hand. When I finish, his face is pale. "I'm going to give him a piece of my mind!" he bellows, and charges into a large room, which I assume is his father's study.

"Father... what did you make Marabelle do!!?" he glares at him. I watch emotions play on his dad's face, finally ending with fake confusion. "What are you talking about, son?" he nervously asks. "Well, Mara told me," he puts a protective arms around my shoulder. The King swivels to look at me, steam practically coming out of his ears. "I trusted you," he pronounces every word deliberately. "Yeah, but I don't trust YOU," I snap, and loop my arm with Krista and Brianna. "I learned something very valuable today, and I believe you still haven't learned it yet," I put my fist on his table, making a loud thumping noise. "Watch it, missy," he stands up. "No, because all you care about is money and royalty... you have no idea what kind of stress your people go through... you want to sell your son for heaven's sake! Don't you find a lot of things that are wrong with your plans!?" I scream. I feel Evan silently begging me to hold my anger back, but I ignore it.

"You don't know what it's like to be a KING!" he hollers.

"NEITHER DO YOU!!!" I slam my foot against one of the legs of the desk. The King roars with fury, and crosses his arms. "OUT!!! YOU ARE DISQUALIFIED!!!! I DON'T WANT YOU IN MY COUNTRY! GET OUT!!!!!!"

I lower my head, and walk out.
