Hoseok's POV

"Hoseok!" my heartbeat sped up when I heard her voice through the phone.

"Hi, Areum. The weather's great today so I thought of you- I mean I thought of having some ice-cream together with you in the afternoon" I said feeling nervous.

'Ygh I messed up' I thought and rubbed the back of my neck.

"Today afternoon?" she asked and I bit my bottom lip as I was waiting for her reply. "I'm sorry, I can't go. I'm spending the weekend at my grandma's" she said making me feel disappointed.

I really wanted to see her. I wished to spend some more time alone with her but this time out of school.

"Uhm why don't you come here? It'll be fun!" she suggested in her cheerful voice.

I thought about it for a moment before answering back.

"It's okay, maybe another time. You'd probably want to spend time with your grandma. See you at school on Monday" I said and hang up after we bid our goodbyes.

It's okay, listening to her voice was enough I guess.

"Hoseok-ah!" I heard my sister calling. "What were you thinking about? You were smiling in such a creepy way" she said and looked at me pretending to be scared.

"Was I smiling? I was just thinking about A- ... Nothing, I was just spacing out." I lied thinking whether it would be a good idea to tell her about Areum.

"Yeah right. As if I'd believe that. Come on tell me" she insisted while tugging on my arm.

"Okay, but promise that you won't make me regret telling you" I said.

"Promise" she said and immediately wrapped her pinky around mine to seal the promise.

"I have someone I like" I said and looked at my feet.

"That's great! What's her name? Does she know how you feel? Can I meet her?" she started asking a bunch of questions.

"Noona... You just promised" I reminded her and she stopped for a moment.

"Oh right, sorry" she said and jumped on my bed.

"Her name is Areum. We're classmates and have become closer the past few weeks. She doesn't know about my feeling yet and I don't know when or if I'll tell her." I explained and took a deep breath. "And you obviously can't meet her" I added.

"Why?" she said while pouting.

"Because you're embarrassing" I said and she attacked me on the spot.

She locked my head with her arm and ruffled my hair like crazy.

"Yah! Respect your elders" she shouted.

After a few minutes of playing around we both ended up lying on the bed facing the white ceiling.

"You should tell her soon. Otherwise you'll regret it" she said and I could tell she was trying hard to keep her voice from breaking. "At least I know I did" she continued and I took her in my embrace.

Noona was in love with Seokjin hyung. She always tried to find an excuse to come with me when meeting with the guys only to see him. She never told him though and I know she regretted it badly. Especially after I told her that he also had feelings for her and was trying to find a way to confess to her before the accident happened.

We all knew they both had feelings for each other and everyone thought they'd make a beautiful couple one day. Just by observing the way he looked at her and the way she smiled every time he said her name, anyone could tell they were in love.

But they were so oblivious and life gave them the most harsh punishment. Separating them forever before they could even be together.

She is stronger than me though. She didn't lose herself after the accident. She was devastated of course but she accepted it and gradually learnt to live with his absence. I can still listen to her crying herself to sleep some nights. Remembering about him still hurts her.

Her tears kept streaming down her cheeks until she fell asleep in my arms. I put a loose strand of her hair behind her ear and kissed her forehead.

"It's going to be okay noona. I'm here for you now. Your Hope is back" I whispered.

Yes, I'm back. I can feel that I'm starting to find myself again. I know I can become the cheerful person I used to be if Areum stays by my side.

Most of you were probably expecting for J-Hope to meet Suga in this chapter, right? Sorry, I made it look like it. But don't worry it's happening soon... Hope you liked this update
