My head was about to explode! I couldn't keep my mind off of it. I tried driving as fast as I could down the highway, but even the adrenaline rush wasn't hitting me. I hope it would get better once I reached Barrington.

We got back from Philadelphia a few days ago, but nothing was normal again. What Aiden said on our last night in Spain, my mind couldn't comprehend. After that night, I shut him out of my life. But even after that, for some reason I couldn't look at his face. Even though Aiden kept his distance, every time I closed my eyes, everything he said that night came back to me but I just couldn't wrap my head around any of it.

I was a mess. I couldn't think straight. I needed to completely break away from him. So I did the only thing I could think of. It was a bit difficult to leave Claire behind, but what was worse was asking to take time off from work again. But it was the only thing solution I could come up with.

"But Rae, you just got back!" Victoria yelled from the other end of the line.

"I'm so sorry, I really am. And I know I just got back but I need some time off. You've seen what a mess I've been at work after I got back. Please Victoria, I'll never ask for anything like this again." I pleaded.

Victoria sighed, "Fine, but only if you promise me you'll get right back on your feet once you're back. You have real potential Rae. I really do believe in you, so don't let me down."

"Thank you so much." I said absolutely grateful, "I promise to make it up to you."

Then I started to pack my bags and an hour later I was on my way when Claire caught me at the door. I didn't know anyone was home.

"Where do you think you're going?" she asked confused.

I turned around and softly said "Barrington."

"Why?"

"Because... the last time I was there, I didn't do anything, as in I need to deal with all of the insurance, my mum's will and lots of other stuff." I answered. I couldn't tell her I was going away because of Aiden.

"Oh okay. When will you be back?" she asked.

"Ummm... I don't know." I replied.

"Okay then, bye." She said and smiled.

"Bye." I replied softly and left before Aiden could get home.

And here I was an hour later, speeding and with a massive mental block. There was too much going on in my head. I turned up the radio in attempt to get my head off everything.

When the days are cold,

And the cards all fold,

And the saints we see are all made of gold,

When your dreams all fail,

And the ones we hail are the worst of all,

And the blood runs stale.

I want to hide the truth,

I want to shelter you,

But with the beast inside

There's nowhere we can hide.

No matter what we breed,

We still are made of greed,

This is my kingdom come,

This is my kingdom come.

When you feel my heat,

Look into my eyes.

It's where my demons hide,

It's where my demons hide,

Don't get too close.

It's dark inside,

It's where my demons hide,

It's where my demons hide.

When the curtain's call is the last of all,

When the lights fade out,

All the sinners crawl.

So they dug your grave,

And the masquerade will come calling out,

At the mess you made.

Don't want to let you down,

But I am hell bound.

Though this is all for you,

Don't want to hide the truth.

No matter what we breed,

We still are made of greed,

This is my kingdom come,

This is my kingdom come.

When you feel my heat,

Look into my eyes,

It's where my demons hide,

It's where my demons hide.

Don't get to close,

It's dark inside,

It's where my demons hide,

It's where my demons hide.

They say it's what you make,

I say it's up to fate,

It's woven in my soul,

I need to let you go.

Your eyes, they shine so bright,

I want to save that light.

I can't escape this now,

Unless you show me how.

When you feel my heat,

Look into my eyes,

It's where my demons hide,

It's where my demons hide.

Don't get too close,

It's dark inside,

It's where my demons hide,

It's where my demons hide.
