The next morning I woke up, Naomi wasn’t laying beside me. Not that I didn’t expect that, but it’d be nice to wake up to bother her when I first wake up. Seriously, jump on the bed, poke her, pour water on her, even ask Donnie for a blow horn to wake her up.
But I got up and stretched, grabbing my double Katanas from beside the door that I set there last night and walked out. Sure enough, though, she was in the dojo. Natasha and Mii-wa were in there as well.
It looked like Naomi was showing Natasha some more moves and other things. Mii-wa came up occasionally to help Natasha or even Naomi, which was rarely, get the move correct.
I decided to sit down and watch, because I was bored and it seemed like the right thing to do because everyone else seemed asleep. Even as I watched, I took note on how they were fighting and gave myself a mental note to fight correctly next time.
Leo came in after a while with Sophie behind him. Sophie sat down by me as Leo watched the two train. Then he, too, decided to join the practice session. Splinter came in to watch, Mii-wa backing up to him to watch as Leo instructed them.
After a while, Mikey, Raph and Donnie came in to watch. They sat where they wanted to and watched as the training session grew to a little more than a practice time. It began to turn into a see-who-could-do-the-move-better-and-quicker-without-messing-up kinda session. Leo backed away after a while, though, not wanting to be between them all.
Naomi won though, like she usually did. Natasha sighed disappointingly and then came up to her afterward. “Naomi!” Natasha said.
“Yeah?” Naomi asked, brushing herself off for no reason.
“Do you mind if I have a bandana like the rest of you guys?” she asked.
Shrugging, Naomi said, “I don’t care.” she looked up at Mii-wa and our Sensei nodded. “But meet me before lunch.”
“Leo,” Mikey came up to him. “I don’t wanna cook today… Could you make something?”
Leo nodded and headed out to the kitchen most likely. Natasha and Naomi left with Mii-wa and didn’t come back until lunch. While the rest of us were waiting, we just chilled in the main room. I accidentally fell asleep on Mikey’s shoulder. So I don’t remember much until I woke up by a blow horn.
I jumped up and crashed to the floor, screaming in shock. Looking up, Natasha, I think, was smiling and had a blow horn in her hand. The reason why I thought it was Natasha was because she had a bandana on. It was grey and had a bun with a pair of chopsticks criss-crossing into it to keep it in place.
“Wake up,” she laughed. “Lunch is ready.”
Getting up, I saw Mikey already gone and in the kitchen. He smiled at me with a hint of guilty. I knew he had gotten up and ran off to avoid getting the blast of the blow horn.
“Hey, Natasha,” I said, sitting down and grabbing a bowl of Ramen noodles.
“Yeah?” she asked, coming in.
“Who gave you the blow horn idea?”
“Naomi,” she answered.
Sighing, I nodded, “Thought so…”
Leo looked around after getting his own bowl, “Where’s Sophie?”
“With Naomi I believe…” Natasha answered.
We all started eating. The few that weren’t at the table were the two Sensei’s, Donnie, Naomi, and Sophie. Nobody really questioned it because sometimes, it just seemed normal now to most of us.
After a while of eating, something moved at the side of my vision, but I didn’t bother looking. I continued eating when a small cockroach came up from nowhere and watched me eating. Getting a little grossed out, I moved it aside nicely. It went to Natasha and she did the same. Then Mikey. He just stared at it before it moved onto Leo then Raph.
For Raph, though, it climbed into his bowl and actually got on his chopsticks as he was about to take a bite. He looked and paused, fear starting to write itself on his features. That’s when he flipped out and screamed like a little girl and threw the chopsticks down.
“ROACH!” he screamed.
Everyone at the table stared dumfounded at Raph as the roach stood there and Raph got out one of his Sais. Then the warrior started trying to stab at the roach with the Sai, but he continued missing. He even threw it at the roach.
That’s when I started laughing hard. I even fell off my chair.
Donnie came in, “Stop it! You’ll smash him!”
“That’s the idea!” Raph snapped.
The roach ran to Donnie and he leaned down, picking the roach up. “You can’t smash this roach. He’s… special.” he looked at Raph and held the roach out teasingly. “Reeeeaaaally speeeecial.”
Naomi and Sophie had come in now, wondering what was going on. Sophie was looking at the mess, already getting annoyed and beginning to clean it up. Natasha looked questioningly at us all and I just shrugged.
“I know I’m going to regret asking this,” Leo sighed. “But why is he special?”
Donnie explained about a camera and other scientific things.
“Well that explains why you’re special.” Leo smiled.
Donnie even got out the laptop and showed us what the roach saw. It showed Raph screaming his shell off. Mikey started laughing and I repeated with my laughter. Naomi chuckled and Raph turned to her. She smirked and left.
“Donnie, Donnie,” Mikey tried to breathe. “Can I get this on a T-Shirt?”
Raph glared at him, “No.”
“But this is my favorite part!” Mikey said.
“Wanna see my favorite part?” Raph asked. He grabbed Mikey’s arm and tossed him over the table.
Donnie took the laptop before they smashed it. He set it back on the table. Holding up the roach, Donnie announced, “We’re going to spy on the Kraang, with a cockroach!”
