Disrupter

“Alright,” Donnie said, coming up to us. “With the help of Natasha, we know where they’re moving the Disrupter.”

“Why do we need this again?” Sophie asked.

“Because the Kraang can and most likely will use it against us,” Donnie explained.

“Well,” Leo said, getting up from watching another episode of Space Heroes. “Let’s go then.”

“But what happens to Captain Ryan?” I asked, getting up and turning the TV off. “Seriously?”

“You can watch it later,” Sophie patted my back shell. “For now, we stop the Kraang.”

We each grabbed our weapons and headed up, Donnie and Natasha leading the way. It seemed Natasha like Donnie, but yet she also liked hanging out with Mikey at times. And yet, to me, it doesn’t seem like Donnie likes Natasha back.

As we stopped on a roof, Donnie got out a pair of binoculars and looked down. The rest of us stayed behind, the ledge, bored out of our minds already. Mikey and I waited on a glass window that surprisingly wouldn’t break.

“Alright…” I said, looking around. “I spy something….--” I look over and saw movement on a roof and saw a familiar color… “Black…”

“The sky!” Mikey announced.

“They do have a Disrupter!” Donnie announced.

“Explain to us one more time,” Leo said. “If that’s an ‘Oh, no’ or ‘yay’?”

Looking at Leo, Donnie answered, “In the hands of the Kraang, it’s a definite, ‘oh, no’.”

Mikey, completely forgetting our game, and me going with Mikey and forgetting the black bandana on a roof turned with him, “Why? What’s it do?”

Donnie faced Mikey, “The Disrupter can desynchronize subatomic residences which invert polymolecular structures, causing them to implode.”

Both me and Mikey looked at each other then turned back to Donnie, looking confused.

Raph, being beside us with Natasha said, “It makes things go boom.”

“Technically,” Donne interjected. “It makes things go zweeeeee-chuuuuuu!” Then he made a popping sound with his lips. All of us looked at him like he was nuts. “It’s important to be accurate.”

“Alright,” Raph sighed, getting up off the wall. “We going or we just gonna sit here and let them get away with it?”

I got up and walked to the edge as the rest of us did. Sophie came up and nudged me, gesturing her head to the one roof. Looking back at it, I saw Dogpound, Fishface, Baxman, Reiley, and even Naomi… They trusted her enough to go on a mission already?

Before I could point out to the others about the others, they jumped down. Sophie and I followed. When we landed, Dogpound, Fishface, and Reiley were on the ground as well. No Naomi…

“Kraang, Fishface, and Dogpound?” Raph asked, getting his Sais in ready position. “I must be dreaming, pinch me!”

“What about Reiley?” Sophie asked. “She’s in this.”

So Mikey came up and pinched him on his cheek. Raph whacked him on the head. “Ow! But you said--”

Everyone ignored Mikey and ran at one another anyway, yelling. Natasha and I went and fought with the Kraang while the others either fought Foot, Fishface, Dogpound, or Reiley.

Mikey came up and nearly got shot with the Disrupter, but I had an agonizing pain in my head, telling me to push Mikey out of the way, so I did. My head hurt, but Mikey and I were safe. A car wasn’t as lucky before it imploded…

“Whoa…” Mikey said, looking at Donnie. “Donnie, you totally called it, bro.”

Donnie was nodding in agreement then the police sirens came and we looked at Raph and Fishface who were still fighting. Reiley and Dogpound were already retreating.

“Raph!” Leo called out. “Come on!”

With a final kick from Fishface and a block from Raph, they started to run their separate ways, but Raph turned to Fishface and snapped, “Where’s Naomi?”

“Oh, so you are wondering about your missing companion,” I heard Fishface sneer. “She’s in the higher.”

Leo came up and grabbed Raph’s shell dragging him off as he looked pained and the sirens were coming closer. We ran to our lair and Splinter met us on the way in.

“How did it go?” he asked.

“We lost the Disrupter…” Donnie started.

“And we fought Foot, Kraang, and the bad mutants…” I continued.

“And I think Naomi might be dead.” Raph finished.

“How do you know, Raphael?” Splinter asked, turning to him.

Mii-wa came in. “Naomi? Dead? It’s already enough I hear she changed sides, now dead?”

“Fishface told me she’s in the higher.” Raph answered.

“He may be playing with your head.” Splinter tried to reassure him, setting his hand on the warrior’s shoulder. He looked at the rest of us. “Rest. All of you.” then he and Mii-wa turned and left.

We all turned to Raph who was holding his arm and looking at the ground, shaking his head. His green eyes seemed a little troubled. “If Naomi’s gone…”

“Raph,” I came up to him, even though I really didn’t want to. “Naomi got shot by the Kraang and survived. I’m sure she’s fine.”

Raph looked at me, “This is Shredder. She can’t read his mind. Remember last time we dealt with him?”

All of us besides Natasha shivered at the memory. A few days after we found out about Sophie, we decided to try and save April’s father, and it turned into stopping a Kraang bomb. Dogpound and Fishface got mutated that day. Then after that fight, Shredder came from nowhere and Naomi admitted she couldn’t read his mind. Things went downhill and we nearly died, but thanks to Fishface and Dogpound, we managed to survive and retreat back to the lair somewhat safely.

“You got a point…” I muttered.

Walking off, Raph muttered, “Two… Two dead…”
