Well, the Turtle Sub was fun except for the fact that it wasn’t as roomy as the Shell Raiser, and then we had to pedal for power. It wasn’t that bad until we were a little less than halfway and we really started getting exhausted.
“Really, Donnie?” Leo asked at our halfway marker. Although I have no idea why he asked this now. “We power this thing with exercise bikes?”
“We need kinetic energy to have the rockets ready,” Donnie answered, looking at the power. “And it should be ready… Now!” he flicked a few switches and we zoomed forward.
All of us relaxed on the bikes, breathing a bit hard. Donnie was steering in the front while the rest of us minus Sophie, Natasha, and Naomi were in the back, using the power of the bikes to power this engine…
Finally, Leo wanted to see what was going on, so Donnie gave him a scope, but to look out of it, it was a toilet seat. Leo looked at Donnie with an annoyed glare and I had to giggle. He looked at me and I just smiled innocently.
Sighing, he looked out of the scope anyway. I watched Mikey stare out the window. Yeah, we had a window… But small and circular. The water was green and murky anyway, so we really couldn’t see anything.
Mikey gasped and grabbed my wrist, pulling me to the window. I hit my head on the top metal frame. “Ow…” I muttered, rubbing the place where it hit then I looked outside as I saw a large shadow moving toward us. “Leo!”
“I see it…” Leo growled, pressing his own button. A flare went out into the water, shooting right past the monster. It reminded me of the Lochness Monster.
It watched the flare move past it. The long neck twisted a full 360 to just follow the bright light. Turning and using its flippers, it followed the flare with quick grace. We breathed out, Mikey and I. A distant memory made me smile a bit.
It was the time when the sun was just setting, so we were good with time. And when we got there, the front door was boarded up, like April said, but on the inside. Raph tried to kick it in, but it didn’t work and he ended up giving up. So we tried to find a spot in the roof. Lucky for us, there was an air duct. Donnie popped it open.
Before we jumped down, Leo said, “We do a quick survey of the area to make sure there isn’t anybody in there.”
“And what’s going to be in there?” Raph asked. “A giant sea monster?”
“There will be.” Naomi answered him. He looked at her like she was crazy. She changed what she meant quickly, “Later on, meaning in the future, but the Kraang will bring it from their dimension…”
“Spoiler alert much?” Sophie snapped. “Seriously. You’re so calm because you know what’s going to happen when it happens. Stop spoiling for the rest of us.”
“But I wanna know so I’m not scared later on.” Mikey said.
Our first time at the skating rink and a few weeks after we met Sophie and a few days after fighting Shredder for the first time. It made me want to shed a tear, remembering how nice Naomi was, and how everything was normal.
Everything changed so quickly… Whether it be Naomi getting shot or Natasha showing up, or even fighting Shredder. Things change… Secrets being kept and answers being searched for.
Mikey looked at me and nudged me, “You okay, Mikito?”
Looking up, I realized I was crying a bit. I wiped my cheeks off, nodding, “Yeah, yeah… Fine…”
“You sure?” he looked worried. He even reached his hand up and touched a part where my bandana was a bit damp from my tears. “You were crying…”
