“Gah!” I screamed, ducking Natasha’s attack. “Watch it!”
“We’re training!” Natasha retorted.
“Yeah,” I said, brushing myself off and getting up. “I wanted to watch Mikey train. Not train with you yet.”
Mikey was training with Raph and they were circling each other before Raph started jumping back and forth quickly with his Sais in his hands asking Mikey, “What’cha gonna do? What’cha gonna do?”
Of course, Mikey being Mikey, he looked a bit scared as Raph jumped at him. But Mikey thought quickly and fell on his back shell as Raph fell down. Quickly, Mikey grabbed Raph’s wrists and threw him over his own head.
“Gyah!” Raph screamed as he fell on his front shell.
Laughing, I pointed at Raph as Mikey laughed as well, getting up he said, “Booyakasha!” and started bugging Raph. Leaning down, he touched Raph’s temples and twisted them. “Thought you had me, but I played you like a trombone!” Then Mikey got up and imitated a trombone.
I heard Raph growl and I stopped as he got up and looked at me, but instead, he went for Mikey, picking him up. Mikey cried out and I put my hand over my mouth, wanting to help.
“Uncle!” Mikey cried. “Uncle!”
“Not till you tap out!” Raph snarled. I took a step forward but Raph glared at me, so I backed up again.
“I can’t move my… arms…” Mikey dropped his arms. But brought them back up as Raph squeezed him.
“Then tap your disgusting middle toe!”
With effort, Mikey rose his left foot and actually moved it, making it look like he was tapping it. When Raph saw, he dropped Mikey. I ran over and helped him up. Splinter came up then.
“Michelangelo,” Splinter said, looking at us. “Why didn’t you fight back?”
“There was nothing to do, Sensei!” Mikey explained, taking my hand and getting up.
“There is always a way,” Splinter nodded. He turned to Raph. “Raphael! Hijimajae!”
Raph looked at Splinter confused for a second before coming up and doing the same thing he did with Mikey, except that he had a little bit of an issue with Splinter’s weight.
Ignoring Raph, Mikey and I listened to Splinter explain, “The key is to unbalance your opponent. For example.” Then turning his head slightly, Splinter licked the side of Raph’s head.
As Raph’s face grew from painstaking work to shock, I burst out laughing, falling on my back shell from laughing so hard. Then before I knew it, Raph was on the ground and Splinter was complaining, “And you need to take a bath.” That only made me laugh harder, kicking my feet in the air.
Splinter left and then Raph got up after a while, me still laughing, and kicked me hard in the side. “Ow!” I snapped, looking up at him. “Why!?”
“Because you’re laughing…” Raph growled, walking out and snatching up one of his Sais from the ground.
Still laughing a little, I did get up and Mikey came up to me. “It was funny watching that, huh?”
“Raph’s face when Splinter licked him was priceless!” I giggled. Then it made me wonder what Naomi’s reaction would be if she were here to see that.
Mikey nudged me, “Come on.”
“Hey!” Natasha said, getting in front of us as we started heading out. “I thought we were going to train?”
“Later, Nat.” I said. “Promise. I need to calm down a bit.”
“‘Nat?’” Natasha repeated. “New nickname?”
Nodding, I said, “Yeah.”
“Oh… Okay. Have you seen Sophie?”
“In the main room, Natasha!” I heard Sophie call out. “Watching Space Heroes!”
I gasped and ran in. Leo and Sophie were watching the show without me! Jumping over the couch, I sat beside Sophie as the commercial break was over and the show started.
Natasha came in after a while along with Raph and Mikey. Natasha sighed and grabbed a magazine, sitting beside me and reading it. Mikey and Raph started a video game.
After a long while, Donnie peeked in through his lab, “Guys! Guess what me and April are doing?”
All of us stopped what we were doing and looked up at Donnie. He smiled and then continued, “Experimenting with Kraang water!”
“Nothing says ‘fun’ better than experimenting with Kraang things,” Raph scoffed.
“Come on, guys…” Leo sighed, turning the TV off and getting up, making Sophie and I whine about Space Heroes being shut off, but followed him anyway.
We all walked in Donnie’s lab. April was there behind a desk. She smiled as we came in. Donnie hurried back to the desk and grabbed a cylinder.
“This is a jar of complete Kraang water,” Donnie explained. April gave him a slice of pizza and he continued, “And this is a slice of Mikey’s pizza. Now watch as I have the pizza touch the water…”
Demonstrating what the water could do, Donnie dipped the pizza in the Kraang water. When the pizza hit the water, it started to dissolve and evaporate in the water. Both Mikey and Natasha cried out.
“How do you sleep at night?” Mikey asked Donnie rather calmly.
“You wasted a perfectly good piece of pizza!” Natasha whispered rather harshly.
“How does the water stay in the container if it made the pizza melt?” Sophie asked rather smartly.
That must’ve stumped Donnie because he opened then closed his mouth once, twice, then looked at the container, then back at April. She shrugged and then Donnie turned back to us and said, “For once… I have no idea…”
We watched, but the water didn’t evaporate through the container. Finally, Donnie continued explaining, “We found this water in the sewers, but the Kraang are mixing their water with our water as we speak. There could be dozens of galloons spilled out already.”
“Where’s the lair this time?” Leo asked.
“In the lake,” Donnie replied, coming up to his laptop and showing us the base. It was smack dap in the middle of the lake, so we looked at each other.
“Now how do we get there?” Natasha asked.
April started moving toward the door then, “I’m gonna go, guys.”
“Wait!” Donnie said, jumping over the counter, but falling on his face before getting up again. “You don’t wanna come?”
“Sorry,” April said. “I’ve got projects and homework to do. I can’t come.”
“You’ve still got your T-Phone, right?” Donnie asked.
April nodded and then Donnie in turn. I turned to look at Donnie as April left. He looked a bit disappointed.
“So how do we get there?” Natasha repeated her question.
“Oh!” Donnie said happily, then looked up at his new invention.
“Why can’t we swim?” I asked. Swimming was fun, and I enjoyed it.
“Because we’ll have to stop the base creating the water. Then we may get caught.” Donnie explained.
“Let’s go!” Mikey said happily, jumping up at the submarine.
