Waiting in Naomi’s room already, sitting on her bed, Naomi came in after a while with a bandage on her arm where the whip slashed her skin. She sat down by me with something else in her hand. It was a brownie…

Laying down beside her, I sighed, “So you knew about Natasha?”

“Nat?” she asked. “Yeah. When do I not?”

“You’re already giving her a nickname?” I asked.

“Like the others.” she nodded. “Still have to get yours…”

“What’s yours?”

“Nothing for me yet either…” Naomi muttered, taking a bite of the brownie.

“Should you be eating that?” I asked.

She shrugged and ate the rest within a minute. “You’re wondering about more.”

“I hate your mind reading.”

“Actually,” Naomi said, looking at me. “I know you too well. I’ve lived with you for fifteen years. I don’t have to be a mind reader to know what’s going on through your head.”

“How?” I sighed. “How can you be so calm with everything that’s going to happen? I mean, yeah, you can predict the future, but how can you stay so calm?”

She sighed and rolled over on her back shell. Her Kraang bullet wound stood out a little still. I still can’t believe she could’ve survived that…

Closing her eyes, she said in a soft voice, “Try predicting the future… Then not having to face the good or bad with a straight face. Trust me, Mikito, it’s hard. Difficult even… Inside, I’m actually very scared, but I don’t show it because then my enemies will know my weakness.”

“But why won’t you show it in front of us?” I asked.

“Because then I’ll get used to it and then it’ll begin to show everywhere. It would be really weird to see this Naomi you know now turn into a Mikey or you when you guys are scared.”

“Yeah,” I scoffed, agreeing. “It would… Hey…”

She shrugged, “You two seem to show your emotions the best, so I just used you as an example. There’s you guys, then me and sometimes Raph and even Leo. We try to hide our emotions, but I’m the one that seems to get it right most of the time, but they are sometimes hard to understand. But when we show our emotions or affections, we show it without really realizing it.”

“Donnie’s right. You are a fortune cookie.”

Chuckling, she rolled on her side, “Oh you haven’t seen anything tonight.”

“Okay… Now I’m worried…” I said. “No more brownie.”

She started laughing this time. Great… Another cookie dough moment… I started to get up and leave the room. I exited her door, but she ran out and came out of nowhere. Naomi ran ahead of me to try and stop me, but then ran into a pillar.

I held in a laugh as she fell on the ground with a shocked expression. She laughed and stood up, leaning on the pillar with a usual Naomi look before she said, “Hello there, pole.”

“That’s not a pole…” I tried, stifling in a horde of laughter.

Naomi laughed and walked right past the pillar, falling over the couch, landing on her face. That was when I laughed. Quickly, she rolled over on her back and looked at the ceiling.

“Those days where you wonder if what you did in the past makes you want to regret your future…” she said.

Raph came in the main room, saw Naomi on the floor, gave me a weird look and leaned on the same pillar Naomi was just a few seconds ago. “Is she speaking fortune cookie again?”

“Yeah,” I laughed. “But she’s hyper, so look out.”

“Hyper?” Raph asked. “Naomi doesn’t get--” Naomi got up and started jumping around like she had a jump rope. “I stand corrected…”

“She’ll forget about this in the morning.” I reassured him.

“Well that’s not weird at all.” Raph said. “Sounds more like someone drunk.”

Walking to Raph, Naomi leaned up against him, whispering something in his ear. He blinked and widened his eyes, looking at Naomi who nodded, laughing creepily and walking back in her room, dancing in circles on the way.

“What’d she say?” I asked him.

“Okay,” Raph muttered, changing my question with his own. “You’re sure she’ll forget about this?”

“Yeah, why?”

“Because…” he paused. “Nothing…” turning around, he walked to his room, closing the door silently.

“Okaaaay then…” I muttered. I walked in Naomi’s room and she was already passed out.

I sat on the foot of her bed and she rolled over to face the wall, muttering, “Lillian…”

Looking over at her, I shook her shoulder. “Naomi?”

Waking up, she looked confused before looking at me, “What?” her hyperness was gone.

“What’d you say to Raph?” I asked.

Her eyes seemed fogged over like she didn’t know what I was talking about, but then her eyes widened. She sat up, “I told him…?”

“What’d you tell him?” I asked. Her face looked down at the foot of her bed. “Naomi?”

She looked at me with slightly scared eyes. Then she closed her eyes and collapsed on her pillow, moaning, “Sewer bunnies…”

“Naomi?” I repeated.

“Mikito…” she said, rolling over and looking at the wall. “Like I said earlier… ‘We try to hide our emotions, but I’m the one that seems to get it right most of the time, but they are sometimes hard to understand. But when we show our emotions or affections, we show it without really realizing it.’” she paused. “I’m really bad at that….”

“You’re making me nervous, Naomi…” I muttered. “What’d you tell Raph? And who’s Lillian?”

Her head turned to me and she closed her eyes, “Not now, Mikito… Future-wise… But after Raph has his prediction, I’ll be leaving. And when I come back, I’m going to bring an ally with me. And an enemy-slash-ally with loose their life… Now goodnight…”

Without another word, she rolled back over and fell asleep, leaving me to my thoughts. After about twenty minutes, I yawned and laid down too, curling up in a ball and sleeping, dreaming about what Naomi had said.
