All of went to the main room to practice training with our new weapons. April had brought in another pizza and had set it on the island in the kitchen, so when Mikey saw, he just jabbed Leo’s swords into a few pieces and ate them from the blade.

“I don’t think you’re supposed to use them that way, Mikey…” I tried to tell him.

“It’s fine,” Mikey smiled. “Raph does it with his Sais.”

“Yeah,” Raph growled. “Because I knew how to use them…” he voice faltered because he started twirling around Mikey’s nun chuck and he was scared that it was gonna hit his face, so he backed up a lot.

“I don’t get this exercise…” Sophie sighed, looking at the whips curiously. “I don’t even know how these things work!”

“You just raise your hand then snap it down,” Natasha explained. “If the whip rises and then makes a snapping sound, then you got it right.”

Sophie grumbled then tried to do as Natasha said. The whip rose, but it just fell down like a feather, no snapping sound. She kept trying again and again. Only once did she make the snapping sound.

For me, I tried to swing the Wakizashi at the dummy. It actually made a few good slices, but the sword was too light to make bigger slices. I got used to holding it with one hand like I had when I was fighting with my Katanas.

Suddenly, someone’s T-Phone went off and we all paused as Donnie picked it up. “It’s a message from you-know-who.”

“I didn’t know Voldemort had a cell phone…” Natasha said.

We all looked at her and Sophie scoffed. But Mikey was the only one confused and Donnie rephrased it, “It’s a message from everyone-but-Mikey knows.”

But we all came up to Donnie and analyzed the phone. The screen showed Pulverizor before Donnie clicked the message.

“He wants to meet us at the TCRI building tonight,” Donnie said, looking at us.

“We should go then,” Leo said.

“No dip we should go!” Natasha said, holding my Katanas tightly. “It’s a fight!”

“I’m usually the one that says that!” Raph growled. “Don’t go reading my mind! Naomi does that enough.”

“But she’s not here,” Sophie pointed out.

A deep and awkward silence sliced as deep as Shredder’s gauntlet cuts cut through the lair. Sophie had to point it out so calmly. She realized what she did and then she rubbed the back of her neck, “Sorry…”

“Now,” Mikey said, stepping back and brandishing Leo’s Katanas. “As the one with the swords, I say we go.”

I giggled, Natasha smirked, and everyone else rolled their eyes. We headed up anyway. We quickly ran toward the TCRI building, jumping over roofs and alleys.

Mikey wasn’t leading, even though he had made the order to go up. I decided to come up by him and nudge him softly. “How are the swords treating you?”

“I feel like a leader!” Mikey smiled, then gasped. “Then I should lead! Leo! Get back here!”

“No!” Leo snapped, reaching the last building to the TRCI building. Mikey came up by Leo and they both peered down. Everyone else followed their lead.

Pulverizor was on the ground, pressing his back against the building we were on. Sighing, Leo jumped down quietly and we all followed. Before Pulverizor could run into us, Leo grabbing his shoulder and pulled him down to where we were hiding.
