After the whole lunch episode, we went to the Shell Raiser. Each of us hopped in and looked around curiously. Naomi came in last and I noticed she had a metal staff again. That was the quickest replacement I’ve ever seen.
“Wait…” I said cautiously. “I thought this was broke because the Kraang took the Power Cell back?”
“Thaaaat,” Donnie chuckled. “I actually found a large battery that acts like the Power Cell, but I have to recharge it nightly or there’ll be no power.”
“Well that explains it…” Leo said. “Does it work any differently?”
“No,” Donnie shook his head. “Works as the same as it did before.”
“Good,” Leo smiled, getting in his position.
“What about Natasha’s position?” Sophie asked as Natasha actually walked in.
Standing up from her position, Naomi said, “I’ll teach you how to use the music and let you work it tonight.”
“Okay…” Natasha said cautiously. She walked over and Naomi showed her the simple devices. Leo started driving off and everyone wanted some music. Naomi told her to try what she taught her.
Natasha started pressing buttons, like Naomi would if she was in charge. Music came on, but it was musical, then pop, then ended on a boy band singing.
“Gaaaah…” Raph groaned. “Would you put it on rock?”
“But I like this,” Natasha smiled.
Naomi stood up and changed it for us. We all sighed happily. She looked at Natasha, “If they want rock, put it on rock or else trouble will come from Raph.”
“Hey!” Raph snapped.
We stopped at the Kraang facility and let the roach loose. Raph avoiding it the whole way. Then Donnie turned on the computer for the roach’s camera. We all watched as he cut a hole through the wall then crawled in.
He explored around before Leo pointed at the screen, “What are those Kraang talking about?”
Donnie made the roach get closer as we listened to the conversation of the two Kraang droids. Yeah, Donnie had a controller for the cockroach, so we got to make him move where we wanted to…
They said something about a plan that involved a drill and that’s when Leo asked about it, “What do they mean?”
“Shh!” Donnie hushed.
Then they continued on with a diamond lens and other stuff that neither me nor Mikey really got, but Sophie jumped forward and asked, “Let’s go stop them!”
“But we need to find the facility, right?” Natasha asked.
“Maybe if you’d be quiet, they’d tell us!” Donnie shouted, tossing his arms in the air and making the control hit the wall and the roach fall out of screen. “Great! I lost the signal!”
“Sorry,” Sophie and Natasha apologized.
“So they need to have the diamond lens to drill a hole in the earth to make it like a giant lava fountain, right?” Leo summed up.
“Lava surfing rules,” Mikey said.
“It certainly does not, Mikey,” Leo sighed.
Sighing, Donnie got up and went back to his own station. Naomi was leaning against the far wall, a semi-evil smirk on her face. Something told me, that wasn’t a good sign. But we went back to our usual positions and started to head off.
