Chapter Three - Push The Thoughts Away
I lay on my bed, staring at the ceiling above thinking about my date with Ray.
More like the kiss you shared.
Ugh! I wish that voice would just shut up.
But fine, I admit it. I was thinking about that oh-so-perfect kiss! It felt just like how teenage girls use to describe them. Believe it or not, I saw fireworks! Hahaha! Pathetic, right? That's what I thought at first, but now I see it all. Not to mention the electricity and sparks I felt running through my body. It was just the perfect kiss! Not that I know about kisses that much cause that was my first. Wait- What?
Oh my gosh! Ray Tulden stole my first kiss!
Yeah, right! You kissed him back, idiot!
I roll my eyes at that annoying voice inside my head. Okay, okay! I kissed him back and like I said, it was perfeccct! I sigh dreamily. Gosh, I should really stop thinking about that kiss!
I pull my blanket, wrapping it over myself and close the light. Snuggling, I soon fall asleep.
___
"Wake up, Dani! It's half past 11, for crying out loud!" I hear my mother yelling.
"Hmm..." Is all I manage to say. Well, what can I say? I am a teenager who needs lots of sleep, but not that beauty sleep kind of sleep.
I feel my covers being pulled away from me. I groan as I see my mom, standing in front of my bed, yanking at my blanket. I pull it hard, and sure enough, it leaves her grasp.
"Ugh! Dani, you're impossible!" I can just imagine my mother, putting her hands up in the air, exasperated.
I snuggle up once again, but suddenly, I feel a very cold sensation over my face. I jolt out of my bed in surprise and there, I see my mom smirking and holding a cup filled with water. The little water she had just poured on me, trickled down my face.
"Mom!!!" I yell.
"Wake up, Danina or else I'll be sure to pour more water over your head."
"I'm awake now!" I quickly get out of my bed and head towards the bathroom.
"Good." I saw mom smirk before she left my bedroom.
I brushed my teeth, making sure they looked sparkly white (who am I kidding?) before popping into the shower. Soon I get out and put on my undergarments as I decide on what to wear. Thinking that I was probably going to be home all day, I pulled out my sweatpants and a sweatshirt that said 'Peace Out', I make my way downstairs.
"Dani, honey, I'm going out for the appointment I have today and seeing that it's almost 1 now, I got to rush!" My mom hurriedly explains.
"Yeah, sure, mom!" I smile at her. I just loved my mom! She was great! Although she was a single parent and very busy, she still managed to spend her time with me. I sometimes think what would my life be like now if my mom and dad hadn't divorced.
"Bye, sweetheart!" She heads out of the front door.
"Bye, mom!" I wave at her, grinning.
After she leaves, I huff as I go up to my room and open my laptop. I logged in my facebook account and checked my msgs, notifications and friend requests. After that, I just scrolled down my wall, checking out what my friends were doing.
Suddenly, a head pops in my door. I jump up, startled to see Mia chuckling. I quickly close my laptop.
"What's up?" I ask her.
