Oh!! Wahhhh!!! I wanna cry!!!!! Poor Dani! Sniff.. Oh well, read on as I cry on, my lovelies! :P
Chapter Seventeen - It's Okay
I wipe my tears, the scene I had seen not leaving my mind. The tears roll down my cheeks again. I sniffle as I hug my pillow.
I never knew how people felt when they witnessed their boyfriend/girlfriend cheating on them. But now that I have seen Josh and Melissa kissing, I know how it feels.
And it hurt. It really did.
So, the truth is that Josh actually loves Melissa.
Not me.
Maybe I should break up with him, so that he can be with Melissa, the one he truly loves.
If I can face him to even break it up.
I sob.
No, no, no, I shouldn't be like this. I grab my cell and dial Mia's number. She picks up after the second ring.
"M-Mia?" My voice breaks.
"Dani? What's wrong?" She asks, worry evident in her voice.
"I- Could you please just come over?" I sniff.
"I'll be there in five," She says and hangs up.
Surely enough, after five minutes, Mia barges into my room, with a big bag and a worried look on her face. "Dani!"
"Knock before you enter," I manage to smile meekly.
"Dani," Mia flops into my bed next to me. "What's wrong? You've been crying, right? Your eyes are all swollen and red. Tell me, what happened?"
"I- I saw J- Josh and Melissa.." I trail off. "K-kissing!"
Mia's eyes widen and her mouth drops. "What???? That son of a bitch! How dare he cheat on you!"
"Calm down, Mia," I sniff. "I heard their conversation. Josh said that he loved both me and Melissa. But the one he actually really loves is Melissa, not me."
Mia pulls me into an embrace.
"Melissa told him that he must choose between us," I continue. "So I'm gonna break it off before he does anything."
"You should," Mia snarls.
"But the problem is, I don't know if I'll be able to face him," I hang my head low.
"You will be able to, Dani. To dump his sorry ass!" Mia grins and rummages through the bag she brought. "I brought some junks."
I cheer up immediately. Okay not actually cheer up, but I feel brighten up more.
"Here," She tosses me a packet of cheese puffs, and then opens a bucket of Ben & Jerry's ice cream.
"Thanks!" I smile as I eat the cheese puffs.
God, this heartbreak made me forget how hungry I was.
"Here," She hands me the bucket of ice cream, which I happily accepted, and start having it.
"You really know how to lighten my mood, don't you?" I grin at Mia.
"Of course I do," She grins. "I've known you since you were a kid!"
I give her a cheeky grin before eating up.
___
"Are you sure it isn't noticeable that I was crying yesterday?" I ask Mia once again.
