Chapter Ten - Party Time

"You're going too?" Mia asks with wide eyes.

"Well, duh!" I reply.

"I can't believe it." Mia exclaims. "Dani going to a party? God, who convinced this stubborn lady?"

"I go to parties too. So what's the big deal?"

"Because this party is a different kind of party. Dirty dancing, alcohol, making out and many other mature things."

"So? Are we getting ready or not?"

"Yes we are. C'mon now!"

We enter Mia's room and I immediately jump on her bed.

"Hey! Watch it! I don't wanna spend an hour making that bed again." Mia scowls.

"Seriously?" I chuckle.

"Okay so what should I wear?" Mia opens her closet and searches for a dress to wear.

"Hurry up and make a choice, I don't wanna be four hours late for the party." She rolls her eyes.

Since I had already brought what I was going to wear to Mia's house, I start getting dressed.

"Won't you put on some makeup and do your hair?" Mia asks.

"I guess," I shrug.

"Then why dress up before that?"

"Before or after dressing up, same thing."

"Whatever then."

I smile and put on my mid-thigh length navy blue sleveless dress and pair it up with a pair of 4 inch heels. I put my hair up into a side bun and put on a necklace and a charm bracelet. Then I get to the makeup. I put some mascara and a light lavender eye shadow with some lip gloss.

DING DONG!

"That must be Josh." I had given Josh Mia's address and told him to pick me up there. "You done?" I ask Mia.

"Yep." She smacks her lips and grabs her purse. "Let's go."

I grab my black jacket and follow Mia to the front door. I open the door to see Josh standing there with a pair of jeans, a white V neck T-shirt and a pair of sneakers.

"Hey," I grin.

"Hey. You look wonderful," he smiles.

"Thanks, you too."

We get in Josh's car and Mia gets in her hot red convertible and ride off to Nicole's house. Nick couldn't go to the party so Mia had to go by herself but lucky for her she owns a car. Her parents are loaded and got her that car on her 16th birthday last last year. But of course, this town was filled with high class and really rich people.

We soon reach Nicole's house, which was really big. Mia parks her car right behind Josh's and we get out of the car and into Nicole's house. Inside, the party was just getting started. People were dancing, drinking, making out and like Mia said, many other mature things.

"Want a drink?" Josh asks me and Mia.

"Yeah, a beer will do," Mia says.

"What? Are you planning on getting wasted Mia?" I ask in horror.

"Geez, loosen up, Dani!" Mia chuckles.

"And what can I get you?" Josh asks me again.

"A drink without any alcohol."

"Okay," Josh chuckles and walks away as Mia rolls her eyes.

Suddenly, Mia's face makes a look a displeasure. I follow her gaze to see Ray was standing in a corner with a beer in his hand and lots of girls flirting with him.
