Chapter Twenty Eight - All An Act
"And that's what happened," I say, while stuffing my mouth with cheetos.
"Oh my god!" Mia yells. "He did that to you?! I'm going to fucking cascrate his fucking balls!"
"Mia!" I exclaim. "It's fine! He apologized and said that he didn't mean it. So we're friends now and we have a no touch policy."
She groans. "Again?! You're gonna trust him yet again? After everything he did to you? Jesus Christ!"
"I- Yeah, you're right," I sigh. "But this is the last time I'm trusting him."
"Do you know why you trust him?"
"I don't know, I-"
"That was a rhetorical question," She rolls her eyes before looking at me with a smirk. "Because you like him!"
"What the fucking- Yeah, right," I roll my eyes.
"Deny it all you want," she says. "But you know it's true!"
"Hey! I do not like Ray Tulden!" I protest. "Not after all he did to me."
"Oh yeah? Then why do you trust him and give him a chance yet again, huh?"
"Touché," I mumble. "But I don't like him and thats that!"
"Whatever."
DING DONG!!!!!!!
"Oh, it must be the pizza delivery guy," I say.
"I'll get it," Mia gets up.
A couple of minutes later, Mia walks into the room, with a smirk on her face.
"Where's the pizza? I'm hunggrry!" I whine.
"Look who's here," she moves aside to reveal a smirking Ray Tulden.
I narrow my eyes at him. "What are you doing here?"
"Just thought I'd drop in to hang out," he shrugs.
Yeah, and look what happened the last time you came to 'hang out'.
I make a face before sending a text to Jake.
My house. Now.
It'd be less awkward with Jake here else Ray would be the only guy here.
After 5 minutes of stuffing my face with food and trying to ignore Ray's comments and Mia's giggles, the doorbell rings.
"I'll get it!" I jolt up.
I open the door to find a grinning Jake. "I'm here!"
"Great, c'mon," I lead him upstairs.
"Holy- Hey, what are you doing here, Ray?" Jake frowns.
"Why so surprised?" Ray sighs. "Just hanging out."
"Cool," Jake replies while grabbing a packet of potato crackers.
"I'm bored," Mia announces. "Let's watch a movie."
"A horror movie!" Jake screams.
"Yassss!!!!" I grin.
"Okay," Mia grins while Ray looks horrified.
"What's wrong, Ray?" I ask in a sweet voice. "You scared to watch horror movies?"
"What? No!" he answers a lil too quickly.
"Fine then," I smirk.
___
RRRINNNGGG!!!!
I chuckle to myself as I exit the classroom and head to the washroom, yet again recollecting yesterday's incident.
