Chapter Five - Second Date

"Stop it you both!" I glare at the both of them.

"Stop what?" Josh asks innocently.

"Glaring at each other like that!"

"Sorry, Dani, I guess it's just that we both want you for ourselves." Josh scratches his head.

"For your information, I don't want her. We went on just one date." Ray uses what I had just told him earlier.

Ouch, that hurt, Ray.

"Geez! We really did go on just a single date. And besides, even if I had to, it's not like I'll choose from either one of you. There are tons of other guys." I smirk.

And yes, I was obviously lying.

I mean, look at them!

"Augh..." Josh mumbled.

"Phfft! Yeah right, Dani. I know you're bluffing so carry on with that. Sure, you might be able to resist Josh but me? I beckon that won't happen even in your dreams!" Of course, Ray had to say something like that. That just made him the Ray Tulden.

"God Ray. Stop being so self obsessed! I'm much better than you!" Josh exclaims.

"In your dreams!"

I steal a glance at Jake, who was looking clearly amused and also, not to mention, almost asleep. I chuckle at the sight. Sleepy Jake with an amused expression written all over his face.. It was a sight to see! I nudge him in the ribs making him almost jump up. I laugh at him, pointing my finger towards his face.

"Ahahahaahaha! You should've seen your face, Jake!" I laugh uncontrollably.

"Aw, Dani. You're really great that two guys are currently arguing like old grandmothers for you." Jake chuckles and I start laughing more.

"I'm not arguing for her, I'm just showing Josh here that I'm way better than him!" Ray snaps, hating the idea of wanting a girl and not the girl wanting him.

"Ray, just-"

"Okay, stop it now, you both. I think you both have argued like grannies enough!" Jake breaks the two of them apart.

And finally, that's how they both stopped arguing.

"Hey, honey. How was school?" My mom asks me as I enter the living room.

"Um... Great." Hahaha! If only she knew that I bunked school! "I'll be in my room, mom."

I head upstairs to my room and take a shower. Today had been one eventful day! I think of doing some of my homeworks but since I am too lazy to, I just bring in a packet of M&Ms and settle down on my bed, eating them.
Suddenly, my phone vibrated against my pocket, making me jolt. I take it out of my pocket. It was a new message from Josh.

Hey, beautiful! How about a date this Friday night? ;) -Josh

Um, sure! -Dani

Great! U don't know how happy I am! Anyway, the place where we're gonna go is a secret but you have to dress according to that! Hehe -Josh

Augh! You tell me to dress according to the where we're gonna go and you're not telling? You suck, dude! -_-

Okay, okay. I can't tell you the place but wear something semi formal. You would look amazing whatever you wear.

Semi formal huh? Must be some place pretty fancy.

Friday came sooner than I expected and here I am now, nearly dozing off during the class. Suddenly, the bell rings making me snap and hit my head in the table.

"Ow!" I mutter under my breath.

"Hey, Dani. Can't wait for our date tonight. I'll pick you up at 7?" Josh grins at me.

"Yeah, sure!" I grin back.

"Okay then, I'll see you. Bye."

"Bye!"

School ends and I head for home. I yawn as I enter my room. I was just so sleepy. I throw my bag and flop into the bed and take a nap. By the time I wake up, it's already 5:45. I stretch my hands and legs and hop downstairs.

"Hey, Dani, could you please go to the grocery store and grab these things?" Mom asks as she hands me a list.

"Okay, fine."

"Thanks, dear! Here's the money for it," she hands me the money and I get out of the house and to the grocery store. I get the things my mom had written on the list and head back home.

"I've bought the groceries, mom!" I exclaim as I enter my house from the front door.

"Okay, honey! What do you want to have for dinner tonight?" My mom asks.

"I'm going out for dinner with a guy, mom. He's going to pick me up at 7."

"Really? That's great! You better start getting ready seeing that it's already going to be 7 now."

"Yeah, sure!"

I head up to my room and strip off my clothes and hop into the shower. After a relaxing shower, I wear my undergarments and look through my closet, deciding on what to wear.

"Aha!" I exclaim as I see the perfect dress for tonight.

It was a silky navy blue sleeveless dress which was pretty much simple but was beautiful in a way. I quickly wear the dress and wear a pendant and a bracelet. I put on a 4 inch heel and grab a sweater before heading out of my room.

"Owww!" It was the 4 inch heel that made me groan in pain. I was never good with heels.

"Augh... Mom! What's the time?" I ask as I rub my foot.

"6:57!" She shouts from the kitchen.

"Hm... Josh would be here any minute now," I murmur to myself.

Just as I said, the doorbell rings and I go to get it. Sure enough, it was Josh.

"Hey, Dani, ready to go?" He flashes me a beautiful smile.

"Yeah. Mom, I'm going!" I shout out to my mom.

"Sure, have a good time!" She shouts back at me.

"So, am I dressed for the part?" I smirk.

"You'll see. Now, get in," he opens the door of his car for me and I get in. We then head off to the place where we're going for the date.

The car soon comes to a stop and I hurry out of the car, curious of which place we're going to. I look the building in front of me.

De La Diner, it said.

"Is that where we're going to dine or something?" I ask Josh.

"Yep. And may I say, you're fit for the part," he winks at me.

Augh! I'm really sorry, guys! I know I updated soooo late but I had my exams and had been caught up with lots of other works too! Yeah, this is only the 5th chapter and there's still a lot lot looooottt more of this story but I'm updating so slow that I don't know when this story will end -_- 2020, maybe? :P Haha, kidding! I guess it'll finish by next or next, next year, at the least. But don't worry, by 2020, this story would have ended a looongggg time ago! ;)

Well, I just hope you enjoyed reading this chappie! I'll try my best to update the upcoming chapters faster!
