Chapter Six - The Angel And The Devil
Inside De La Diner, it was really posh and I could see that it was expensive as well too. Not to mention, there was the big source of light in the middle of the ceiling.
Just like Cupid said.
"Name, please?" The guy at the reception asked.
"It's under the name Josh Hubert," Josh replies with dignity.
"Okay, got it! You're in table 5. This guy here will attend to you."
A young man dressed in a tux came forward and gestured us to follow him. He leads us to a table for two and pulls out the seat and signals me to sit.
Wow, I feel so high and mighty now!
We then order the food and start talking as we wait for our order to come.
"So, what's with you and this posh diners anyway? You've been taking me to only these places," I laugh.
"Why, don't you love to eat?" He mocks, grinning.
"Of course I do!"
"Don't worry, I'll take you someplace else next time.
"Next time?" I raise an eyebrow.
"Yeah, I plan on asking you out on more dates. Shit! I spoilt the surprise!"
"Ahahaha! Déjà vu, huh?"
"Exactly!"
As always, I dig in after the food comes in and of course, it was great! Soon after finishing our meals, we get out of the diner and get in Josh's car.
"I'd love to take you out for a ride somewhere but it's already 8 and I have work to do," Josh mumbles.
"Nah, it's fine! I'm tired anyways so I really wanna go to sleep."
"What made you that tired?"
"Talking to you!"
"What are you implying?"
"You talk too much so I have to too as in replying to you."
He glares at me playfully while I just grin sheepishly at him.

"Why, hello!" My mom smiles brightly.
"Hi, Mrs. Williams! I'm Josh Hubert. Nice to meet you," Josh smiles as bright as my mom.
"Nice to meet you too! So, you're dating Dani here?"
"Yeah, and I'm fortunate to do so."
"Haha! I bet Dani's more fortunate to be dating a handsome, young gentleman like you."
"Why, thank you." Josh smiles and checks his watch. "If you could please excuse me now, I have some work to do at home."
"Sure. Thanks for taking care of my daughter tonight. Have a good night!"
"No problem. Good night to you too, Mrs. Williams."
And off he goes! I get inside my house with my mom gushing at how a gentleman Josh is. And yes, that was true. He has always been a gentleman, to me, at the least.
"So how long have you two been dating?"
"Um, we went out on two dates and that's all. We're not in a relationship or anything yet, mom."
"You said yet. Which means there are chances of you two getting in a relationship!"
"Mom!"
"Just kidding!"
