Chapter Twenty Four - The Perks Of Being Friends
"I'M SINGLEEE ANNDD FREEE!!!!!!" I sing-song at the top of my lungs.
"Jesus, calm down, woman," Mia laughs.
"Ohmygod," I gasp dramatically. "I'm single! I can't believe it! Yay!"
"Drama queen," she mutters under her breath.
"I heard that!" I snap.
"You were meant to," she giggles.
"Whatever," I chuckle lightly as I open the door to my house.
I enter the house only to be greeted by Jared- a shirtless Jared.
"Jesus Christ!" I turn around.
And I wish I didn't.
My best friend was practically drooling over my brother.
"Cut it out!" I whisper-shout to her, glaring as I see her openly checking him out.
"Huh?" Jared seems startled. "Dani? When did you get home?"
"Um, just now?" I reply, putting my hands on my hips. "And why are you shirtless?"
"To show off my awesome body," he smirks.
I roll my eyes.
I bet Mia was starting to drool over him again.
"Oh, hey, Mia!" Jared grins. "How are you, girl?"
"I'm fine," Mia smiles brightly.
"Umm," I rush out. "Mia and I will be upstairs in my room."
"I'm going out actually," he grins. "So see you guys later!"
He leaves the house and shuts the door behind him.
Wait for it.

"OHMYGOD OHMYGOD OHMYGODDDD!!!!!!!!" Mia squeals, jumping up and down. "YOUR BROTHER IS SOOOO HOT! AND I MET HIM AGAIN, AND I ALSO TALKED TO HIM! OMG, I THINK I'M GONNA PASS OUT-"
"Shut up!!!" I yell, rolling my eyes.
I head up the stairs to my room as Mia follows suit.
"Ahh!" I sigh as I jump into my bed. "So what do we do?"
"Let's talk about your love life," Mia smiles in a lil' too evil way.
"Hahaha," I fake laugh with no humor. "I don't have a love life, not anymore."
"Are you sure?" She wiggles her eyebrows suggestively, making me throw a pillow on her face.
"Hey!" She glares at me and throws back the pillow to my face, but I luckily dodge it.
"PILLOW FIGHT!!!" I scream.
After a crazy 10 minutes, I plop into my bed, exhausted.
"Wow," I breathe, laughing.
Mia giggles as she lies down next to me.
"What's the time?" She asks.
"4:30," I reply.
Mia immediately shoots up from the bed. "Holy shit! I'm gonna get late for my doctor's appointment! Gotta go, bye! See you!"
"Bye!" I say as she exits my room.
I sigh as I close my eyes.
Now what?
As if on cue, the doorbell rings.
