"Kuya, maboteng usapan na ba yan?"untag sa 'kin ni Syrel. She's our youngest and our only princess. Napansin ata nuang malalim ang iniisp ko.
"You're not allowed to drink, princess. Wag kang magyaya,"pang-aasar ko sa kanya at para na rin iiwas ang usapan.
"Yun ang akala mo,"she said mysteriously. I became alarmed with what she said. Pinitik ko sya sa noo pero sinimangutan lang ako.
Bago ko pa maitanong kung anong ibig nyang sabihin, nagsalita na uli sya. "O, kuya, ano nang problema mo at nakipagtitigan ka sa flowers ni Mama?"
"Nothing,"sagot ko. It's just so awkward talking to your sister about your love life.
"Hmmmppp. Isusumbong kita kay Mama. Sasabihin ko lilipat ka na sa condo mo. You know what she can do,"pananakot nya. Alam nya ung deal namin ni Mama na pag may girlfriend na kong ipapakilala sa kanila, doon lang ako makakapag-stay talaga sa condo ko.
Napangiwi ako sa sinabi nya. Our mother is one hell of a cunning woman. She can easily know what's happening around her especially concerning her sons and daughter. I really don't know how she manage to do that give the fact that she stays in our house most of the time. Perhaps, she has many eyes and ears around us. Nonetheless, we love her so much.
Syrel grinned mischievously. "So, what's the problem, kuya?"
Sumusukong bumuga ako ng hangin. Masyado kasi makulit ang isang tao. "Wag mong sasabihin kay Mama 'to, okay?"
She rolled her eyes. "Oo na. Parang sinabi mo nang tsismosa ako,"nakaingos nyang sabi.
"Hindi nga ba?"
"Stop that sidetracking of yours, kuya and tell me what's bothering you,"
"Blake and I are courting one woman,"I said directly. "Rather, I'll court the woman he's courting right now,"
"What?!! Are you out of your mind, kuya?"sigaw nya sa 'kin. Malakas ang loob nyang sumigaw dahil nasa grocery si Mama kaya walang makakarinig sa 'min.
"Maybe. But I can't let him have her. She's too special for me,"I honestly said. I know it will complicate things but it will also straighten our relationship. I can't afford to make Cleo cry or be hurt just because I'm too coward to fight for her.
"Alam na ba ni kuya Blake ang gagawin mo?"seryosong sabi ni Syrel.
"Not yet but Cleo knows,"
Ako naman ang pinitik nya sa noo. "What was that for?"nagtatakang tanong ko. Bigla na lang kasi namimitik.
"Nakakainis ka kasi,"
"At anong ginawa ko?"
"Kasi naman, bakit hindi mo sinabi kay kuya Blake? Mas magulo ka pa sa kwarto ni kuya Thunder eh,"aniya. Thunder's room is a perfect example of a "trash" room. Mukhang basurahan sa dumi at gulo. "Dapat kausapin mo si kuya Blake. Nakakalalaki ka kaya,"
"I don't know how,"
