"You are the worst wingman in the history of wings!" Hans shouted at me. It was Monday morning and a weekend had passed since that disaster of a setup date.
"Oh excuse me for the unforseen circumstances. I promise next time the guy who hates me and his girlfriend won't join us. Nor will the girl that Laurel hates otherwise known as our former friend. Your former flame." I replied sarcastically.
He can't blame all that on me! How was I supposed to know that the unwanted guests would show up? It's not like I plan these sort of things.
Honestly-give a girl a break.
"Oh and don't even get me started on Pj and Laurel!" he ranted. "I trusted you to make things go smoothly. But I should have expected that disaster. Look who I'm talking to-"
"No, please don't spare my feelings." I drawled in a bored tone.
Hans sighed deeply and shot me an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry okay? I just really like Laurel and I wanted everything to go smoothly." he explained calmly.
"Does she hate you now?" I asked sheepishly. Hans cracked a grin and slid his phone over to me. His messages were open to a conversation between the two.
Laurel: If you wanted to ask me on a date, all you had to do was ask. :)
"She knew!" I cried out surprised. Hans shook his head and chuckled.
"Laurel said that Ezra was a horrible liar and Reese was an even worse one. Then she said next time I wanted to impress her, not to mention it to you." He filled me in.
Even Laurel knows my plans always go downhill. Smart girl.
"Well if it went well, then why the hell are you yelling at me? I got you the girl, I should be rewarded!" I snapped angrily when I realized his lecture was irrelevant.
"Because I never get to yell at you. It's fun to be mean." Hans shrugged swiping his phone back and pocketing it.
"How rude..." I grumbled crossing my arms. Hans ruffled my hair like a child-not cool by the way.
"Thanks for being such a hot mess." he joked pulling me in for a friendly hug. I rolled my eyes and hugged him back despite being insulted.
"Whatever. But if you and Laurel get married, you two are naming a kid after me and I will be their fairy godmother." I told him seriously. There should be more Matey's in the world. We're a rare species and we need to be preserved.
"You're so-"
"Crazy?" I offered, "Yeah, I get that a lot." I smirked
"I was going to say awkward, but I suppose that works too." Hans chuckled throwing his arm around my shoulder. We walked together to our first class with no argument over me being awkward....because I was.

"Back up and explain this again." Ezra asked confused.
I pressed my lips together and huffed. This was my tenth time explaining it to him. "You're going to help me prank my dad. I have a list of deeds that we must accomplish."
"You're going to prank Gary?" Reese raised his eyebrow unimpressed. I narrowed my eyes and used the ruler I had at hand and swatted him with it. "Ow!" he cried out.
"Dear step brother, you of all people should know not to question me. I did get you arrested once, or have you forgotten?" I pouted referring to when I actually had him arrested.
"Fine, I'll buy into the dark side." he grumbled crossing his arms over his chest.
"Why are you doing this anyway?" Ezra asked.
