"You're his cousin?" The doctor raised his eyebrow skeptically. I smiled charmingly at him.

"He's....adopted." I hissed as if that was some big secret.

"That still doesn't give you clearance to see him or his medical status." The doctor stated flatly, clearly unimpressed by my charm. I blamed my appearance really. I was still in my sweaty dance clothes, with literal blood on my hands.

"Please?" I begged, "I just need to know he's fine."

When we arrived, a pair of paramedics outside quickly whisked him away. He had been out of my hands for an hour now, and every nurse I talked to refused to give me any information on him. Finally, I had resorted to lying about who I actually was.

The doctor however wasn't buying it.

"Sorry ma'am, his parents have already been called and they'll be here shortly." He said sternly, before he left me. I glared at his retreating back and resorted to pacing the floors of the waiting room again.

"Matey?"

I turned quickly upon hearing my name and found Kirby. I frowned in confusion as he approached me. "Kirby? What are you doing here?"

"I pick up a few shifts here when i'm not working at the school. Wait, why are you here? And why do you have blood on your hands. And why are you pacing around, scaring the rest of the patients. And why-"

"I killed a man Kirby. I warned you about me, and you didn't believe me. Now a man is dead." I stated dryly.

"You never once, said that to me." he retorted, crossing his arms over his chest. I narrowed my eyes skeptically and tried to recollect that ever coming out of my mouth.

Then I realized I hadn't.

Bummer.

"So I didn't....but I should have." I said slowly, before an idea formed in my head. "You said you work here. You can help me!" I exclaimed happily.

"No." he said gruffly, shouldering past me. My jaw dropped and I followed behind him, hopelessly.

"Come on Kirby!"

"No." he retorted.

"Be a pal, Kirby fully loaded." I smirked, calling him by his new permanent nickname.

"Take a seat with the rest of the guests, Matey." Kirby sighed, turning his back on me in an attempt to ignore me. But you can't ignore someone like me--we refuse to stay in silence.

"I'm gonna be here all night Kirby fully loaded, that means you're going to be stuck with me all night." I pointed out. Kirby stopped mid step and hesitantly turned to me. "Or you could help me get some information and I'll disappear...kinda like your sex life."

"What the-"

"Come on Kirb, it's been said that I am very annoying when I don't get what I want. Now are you going to help me, or shall I remain with you all night, slowly lowering your self esteem?" I raised my eyebrow, completely amused. Kirby narrowed his eyes at me but sighed in defeat.

"Follow me." He grumbled, stalking towards the area of the hospital where nurses and doctors ran back and forth. He stopped in front of a room labeled, Locker Room. "Shut up unless you want to get caught, do you understand me?" he hissed, I nodded and walked ahead of him.

"Nice digs." I hummed as I observed my surroundings. The locker room here was better than the ones built in our school. Instead of smelling like mold, sweat, and bath and body works. This one smelled like disinfectant, and febreeze. "What's the plan?"
