"I don't want to." I pouted.
"You promised you would." Ezra retorted. I scoffed and crossed my arms over my chest.
"When did I say that?"
"Last week." he reminded me.
I glanced at the table he was sitting at. It was study hall and I had avoided Nate at all costs. I didn't even spare him a second glance.
"Nope, not doing it." I shook my head going back to my previous activity. "I'm busy making a difference in the world." I explained.
Ezra peeked over my shoulder to see I was only making a collage of Dylan O'Brien. It wasn't life changing- but it was better than dealing with my problems. I mean what is this? An after school special where at the end of the episode we learn a valuable lesson?
I don't think so.
"You are literally making a collage of one dude. Go-go now before I smack you upside the head." Ezra sighed pinching the bridge of his nose. I rolled my eyes but shut the laptop down anyway.
"If I do this and it doesn't work, I'm going to kill you." I warned him beforehand. Erza's blue eyes widened in shock but he kept his composure.
"If you put as much effort in reconciling with him as you did pranking your dad, I'm sure you'll do fine." He tried to reassure me but I think it was more for himself than me.
"My genius only works toward evil stuff, not this. I am out of my element Aussie boy--way out." I admitted sheepishly. Ezra however, wasn't having any of it. He shoved me off my seat and towards Nate.
It was the first time I'd seen him alone since he started dating Sadie. It wasn't official but a lot of people suspected it, seeing as how Nate isn't seen with only one girl. However, Sadie seemed to have seeped her way into his life.
Even I had to admit the blatant disdain I had. The girl could make a nun swear and I have no idea what Nate see's in her.
When I was close enough, my heart started pounding through my ears. I chickened out too soon and turned to retreat. Ezra saw this coming and held up a ripped notebook paper with a note.
GO BACK YOU COWARD OR I WILL TELL HIM MYSELF!
I glared daggers at Ezra. He rolled his eyes and shooed me away. Hesitantly, I turned back towards Nate direction. He was on his phone with headphones on, oblivious to everything around him.
So with all my courage, I sat down at his table. Nate looked up from his phone confused.
"What?" he raised his eyebrow, as if he wasn't in the mood for my presence. Which he probably wasn't, but I didn't care at this point.
"I can't sit here? Last time I checked it was the United States of America not the United Attitude of Nate." I retorted sarcastically, my go to language when I'm nervous.
"What do you want Greer? You were sitting over there with crocodile dundee and now you're over here. So you clearly want something, now spill it." he demanded impatiently narrowing his brown gloom-filled eyes at me.
"I-I don't know what you mean?" I stammered nervously. "I just needed a place to study because...because Ezra is watching porn on his laptop and the view is graphic and distracting." I blurt out throwing Ezra under the bus because of my nervous lies.
Nate grimaced and we both peeked a glance at Ezra. He conveniently had his laptop open with his headphones on. From our view it looked like he was watching porn because he was smirking like a little perv. But in actuality, I knew he was watching viral videos of cats.
