Chapter 45 The Great Escape

In a maximum of 7 days to get to Nishi District, we arrived in 4 days. Jen eventually woke up from the previous Titan transformation an hour after we left the cave. Sense we can't exactly get to Nishi due to the Titans wondering around inside, we make the carriage stop in front of the wall of Wall Maria.

"Alrighty then, so how are we gonna do this? I mean three soldiers against,  how many Titans?" Jen asked as we ascended the stairs to get to the top of the wall. Julia refuses to answer, until we get to the top of the wall, I can see why she didn't answer. Lined up through the out the wall were thousands of soldiers.
"That's how." I gasped as I look through both directions soldiers were aligned in. As I look at the soldiers, I notice that there were people from every branch.
"How did you get cadets from all the branches to come?" I asked.
"While we were working on the transformations, in Trost District every soldier was brought in to discuss the sealing of the wall. You will find people through the Survey Corps, Garison, Military Police, and the Training Corps. Humanity is coming together to finally take back what was ours. It may be small but it will be something big in history." Julia said with a smile. I look back at the amount of people willing to die for this one goal, it puts a great smile on my lips.

Julia then hands Jen and I cases. I take the case from her hand, and I brass my arm from the weight. I lay the case on the ground and kneel down and open it. Laid inside was maneuvering gear, along with gas tanks and sword blades. I take them out and strap everything on and connect the wire triggers to one of the four sets of blades. I carefully place the extra blades in their slot above from the gas tanks.
"You ready?" Asked Jen. I held my swords to my face and smiled.
"You bet."

I lined up with the rest of the soldiers and stared out into the destruction that was made. Jen stepped in beside me and said "It's been a long time sense we've seen Nishi, hasn't it?"
"Yeah, exactly 5 years from today." I sighed. I saw Jen lower her head, and I knew she was thinking back on that day.
"What a coincidence, the day our home was taken from us, is also the day we take it back!" I said. I continued to look out into what was once our home, but I could tell that what I said, cheered Jen up. Multiple captains from each branch spread out through wall to break us up into smaller divisions. Sense everyone thought it would be me to seal the wall, they created a division of top notch soldiers to 'protect' me as we cut through the middle of the city to get to the hole. Thankfully Jen was put into this division, and Julia would be the captain over us. We were soon given our instructions from Julia. As Julia was talking I made quick glances of the other cadets in our division. I didn't recognize them, but when their names were called out, I remembered seeing them in the book that held all of the soldiers currently in the military that Julia have to Jen. When I turn my attention back to Julia, I was able to hear the final explanation of our coordinates and what we're doing.

"We're going straight through the middle of the city to get to the hole. Now, Lilly is able to do about four Titan transformations before she passes out. That hole is about 45 meters. Almost the whole wall when it used to be 50 meters tall. Sense the average size for Titans is to 20 meters, Lilly, do you think you can seal the whole thing in four runs or less?" Julia explained.
"Yes." I nodded. I shifted eyes to Jen and I saw a slight nod.
"Okay, now to prevent a huge number of casualties, the majority of the soldiers will be hanging from the wall using their gear. The idea is that Titans will move to this side of the city and the 15 squads can get through without much problems. This strategy has been used before when retaking Trost. We know Titans are attracted to large group of people, if the cadets stay just above of their reach everyone will be fine." Julia started. She grabbed a pencil and small paper. Julia drew the wall lining the city and 15 boxes.
"Theses are the squads that are going in, we are here." She said, pointing to the box in the middle.
"We're going straight through, any Titans near by, we have to trust that the other 14 squads will clear them. We only engage if they get through the other squads. Are we clear?"
"Yes." The rest of us said.
"Alright then, we have 10 minuets before the mission starts. Do whatever you need to do." Julia sighed.
