"How did this happen? It has only been a few hours!" Asked Jen. I look back at my hands. All the scratches I've made, have completely vanished. I do see a few scars, but they're from previous scratching.

"I don't know!?" I replied. I began to panic, thinking that Dr. Jeager's prediction was going to be true. That I can transform into a monster that kills my own kind! My hands began shaking, as the fear and panic run through my body. I can feel my heart beginning to pound. I look at the others, and they see that I'm beginning to panic.

Mariana and Jen know why I'm getting scared, but Tom has no idea of what I'm getting scared about.
"Hey, calm down. Yeah, it's a little weird that your hands are already healed. But is it a good a thing that you don't have ware those itchy bandages anymore!" Said Tom. I a little and nodded my head.

The sun was begging to set and an officer was starting to tell all the refugees to get a sleeping bag and find some where to sleep. We got in line to get a sleeping bag. Once we did I went to a little shelter and set my bag there. The others followed. There were only two shelters that actually covered you from the weather. The other one was broken. There was more refugees then they expected, so there is less room. More people got out then the last time titans invaded.

The others, except Mariana and I, fell asleep but the time the sun was completely down. I was up a until probably 10:00. I sat outside the shelter looking at the moon and stars. I eventually went back to my bag and fell asleep.

It was now a month from when Dr. Jeager assigned me two the military. Today was when the stage coaches came to pick up the next cadets to become soldiers. Jen, Mariana, Tom and I were ready to leave. There was a personal coach for me that Jeager sent.
"Lilly Stark?!" Yelled a man. I looked up and raised my hand. I walked to coach with my friends behind me. I walked onto the back of the coach. I turned around and saw the man put his arm in front of my friends, causing them to stop in their tracks.

"Hey let us through! We're going with her!" Yelled Jen.
"Im sorry, but I have orders to have Lilly, and only Lilly." Replied the man.
"It's fine, let them come with me!" I said, putting my hand on his arm to push it down.
"No. I have orders for just Lilly."
Said the man, still refusing. I began to panic again. What if my best friends aren't with me when I leave for the military.

I looked over at the rest, they also have a panic face, except Mariana. Suddenly Dr. Jeager popped out from behind the coach and asked "What's the problem here?! I want to go!" She sound more childish then ever.
"He won't let my friends come with me!" I yelled. Jeager looked over to the man and asked "Are they joining the military as well?"
"Yes!" Jen replied.
"Then let them in!" Yelled Jeager at the man.
"But captain..."
"Don't 'but captain' me! Your new orders is to have Lilly AND her friends come." Interrupted Jeager. I giggled a little bit as the man kept trying to have Jeager changer her mind, but failed every time!

The man eventually gave in and let my friends onto the coach. It was dark, except for a little candle in the middle.
Jeager sat next to me and I asked "Captain?" She giggled and said that I don't know everything about her.

We were in the coach for at least 3 hours, but it felt like forever. The coach stopped and an officer opened the door. The flash of light hit us so quickly, almost everybody covered their eyes. I stepped out, and saw at least 50 other people here. They were all lined up in the military uniform.

Tall boots, grey-whitish pants and a jacket that ended above your torso and was a orangey-brown color. On the back of the jacket were two swards crossed over each other.

A tall slim man was yelling at the cadets.
"What is he yelling at them for?" I asked, not understanding the technique.
"He's Sargent Battlow. He yells at the cadets seeing if they can handle pressure. It's all part of becoming a soldier!" Replied Jeager. I nodded and Mariana, Jen and Tom got out of the coach. We looked over to Jeager when she bargain talking.
"Now listen to me! Go into that building and sign in. They'll give you a uniform and then they will show you something very important, so pay attention! Remember this is the birth place for soldiers, play your cards correctly, and you'll be fine!" Said Jeager pointing to the main building.
