As we were on the boat we mostly stood there in silents. Listening to the people scream and say that humanity is over, or we're all going to die. I personally think that your the only reason if you die or live. Make that decision, and that fate will be true.
I look at Mariana still in shock of what just happened with her father. Jen is asleep, leaning on Mariana. Tom is awake looking at the ground with his arms crossed over his chest. I looked back at the city, now filled with
man-eating titans. I'm surprised none of the titans tried to go after the boat filled with people.
Tom walked up and stood next to me.
"So, what are you doing after this?"
"Going joining the Survey Corps rank." I replied. I looked him, he was shocked that I said that.
"The Survey Corps?! Why? Wouldn't you want to join the Military Police, or even the Garrison ranks?" Said Tom.
"I would but I can't, it has to be the Survey Corps." Why would I say that? Now I have to think of an excuse of why I'm joining that rank.
"Why does it 'have' to be the Survey Corps?" He asked. I left a long pause thinking of an excuse.
"I'm going to try to find my parents." I replied. That should work. I'm not lying about every thing with that excuse.
"Why are you looking for your parents?" Asked Tom.
"Because they were forced into the Survey Corps while I was in the hospital. I want to find them, I want to see them again before I die, or they die." I replied.
Tom nodded his head and we both looked at the destruction of the home we once knew and loved.
"What are you doing after this?" I asked breaking the silents again.
"Probably joining the Survey Corps rank with you." I was shocked to hear that. We just met that day, and he wants to go to a place that will determine our fate, with me!
"Why?" I asked, trying to hide my curiosity.
"Because I have no one. I grew up an orphan on the streets. Stealing to get things I need or want. I have nothing, and I feel that I need to fight for humanity, to replace all the bad things I have done." Tom replied.
"You know, if we have known each other earlier in life, I could have helped you. Jen over there was an orphan for a few years, because of a person who murdered her parents. Until Mariana took her in." I said. I took a long pause before saying the next this to come out of my mouth.
"And you do have some one. You have Mariana and Jen, and you have me." I felt that he should know that. That now we trust him, that I trust him. Tom smiled and hugged me. I was surprised, I didn't think this would happen. I hugged him back and we stayed like that for about a few seconds.
Eventually we got into Wall Rose. We got off the boat and stood at the entrance for a refugee camp. We were signed in and we all sat at a table in the corner near the entrance. I looked at Mariana to see if she was alright.
"Mariana? You alright?" I asked. It seamed to knock her out of a
trance-like state, because her eyelids relaxed and she looked up.
"I'm fine thanks for asking." Said Mariana. I was glad to hear her voice, but it was different. It seemed more cold and dark then warm and light, like it used to be. I can understand why her voice is cold, I hope that one day she will become the happier, cheerful girl I remember her to be.
"No problem?." I replied.
"Hey how has your hands been doing?" Asked Jen. I shrugged and said "I don't know, I'll check."
I unwrapped the bandages on each of my hands and was shocked to see my hands. I showed them to the rest of them, and they looked shocked too.
"They'er completely healed!"
