"Woah! What happened to your hands?! Did you just do that?" Tom said in shock. I saw the blood dripping to the ground, making a puddle on the road. I was more angry then ever!

"Um... well it was nice knowing you, Tom, but we've got to get going now. And dot worry about the apple, we'll pay for it!" Said Mariana, as if she was trying to have this whole conflict disappear. The apple falls out of my hoodie pocket, covered in my blood. The apple was now useless. No one would buy it. Even if we wash it off and say it was just a normal apple, it would feel wrong to sell an apple that was once covered in the employee's blood and dirt from the ground.

When we got to the market Jen threw me down into a chair.

"What the hell?!" I yelled. Jen crossed her arms over her chest, and said "Yeah, WHAT THE HELL LILLY?!?! WHAT WAS THE BIG DEAL WITH YOUR HANDS BLEEDING?!" I didn't look at Jen, knowing her face is full of rage.

"I was mad." I said in a low voice. I finally looked up at Jen. She was shaking her head, as Mariana was talking to both of us. "Okay, calm down. Nothing 'bad' happened. I'll go get the bandages. Lilly, can u go wash your hands off, we can't have the costumers see blood. They might think our market is a discussing place to buy food." Said Mariana. Mariana went to hey bandages, and I got up to the sink.

I turned on the water and ran my hands through it. It was very cold. As I ran my hands through the water I watched the blood come off. The cuts were beginning to sting, like if some one put hot coal on my hands. I looked at the cuts, they were pretty deep into my skin. I dabbed a cloth onto my hands to dry them, trying not to irritate them anymore.

"Are you finished?" Asked Mariana.
"Yeah!" I replied. I walked over to the chair where Josie through me in. I raised my hands and Mariana wrapped the bandages around both my hands.
Through out the day, costumers came and go to we're they needed to be. Most of them asked what happened to my hands, I just lied and said I burned my hands on an oven stove. It seemed more easier to understand a burn then me scratching my hands because I was mad.

Later in the day, I was just sitting by the counter, drawing in the dirt with a stick.
"Excuse me?" Asked a voice above the counter.
"Oh, sorry." I replied as I stood up. I looked a t the boy who was standing there. My eyes widened, it was Tom!
