Chapter 11 Word is Getting Out

I opened my eyes I saw Jen, Mariana, Shaun, Tom, Battlow and Dr. Jeager all staring at me. I don't know where I was. It was bright and blurry.
"She's waking up." Someone said, I think was Mariana. When I was able to open my eyes completely and my vision was straight I moved my hand to my head and rubbed my face.
"What's going on?" I asked not remembering what happened.
"There was a malfunction with your test. You hit your head and passed out, also you hip is broken from the impact." Said Jen. I moved my hand on my head and felt that there was a bandage around my head. On the side I felt a bump and pressed on it, for no reason.
"Ouch!" I whispered. Shaun laughed to my stupidity.

"How long will she have to stay here, or is she going to have to go to the fields?" Battlow asked Jeager.
"She won't need to go to the fields. Give her 2 days, 3 days top." Answered Jeager.
"For a broken hip? That's at least a couple months!" Said Michelle. Battlow looked over to Jeager, questioning her decision.
"Trust me. She'll be fine by the end of the week. And just me and her two friends, Mariana Stevens and Jennifer Vega, can stay with her while she's healing." Said Jeager
"It's Jen." Whispered Josie. I put my hand on her arm, she looked down on me and I mouthed 'its fine'. She nodded her head.
"Fine then. You, Stevens and Vega are the only ones who can see Stark while she's healing." Said Battlow. He walked out, directing for Michelle, Tom and Shaun to leave.

"I'm fine with your decision, but how come only us." Asked Jen. Jeager closed the door and walked to a chair and sat down.
"Because only you two and I know of her ability. I can't have the whole kingdom finding out." Answered Jeager. Mariana was facing Jeager, but I saw her move her eyes towards me.
"The possible titan transformation ability?" Jen corrected.
"Oh, it's not 'possible' it's a definitely. I just don't know when. If Lilly hasn't told you about the smoke incident, then she should." Said Jeager looking over at me. I looked down trying to remember the incident that happened.

Suddenly a flash back to the scene came. I gasped, as the scene played in my head. I looked over at my ring on my hand and swiped my thumb across the switch, making the hook pop out.
"Don't move you fingers until you put that hook in!" Yelled Jeager. I picked up my hand and flipped the hook in by using my other hand.
"What day is it?" I asked before I confessed.
"Same day, just in the afternoon." Answered Mariana. I nodded my head and began.
"Yesterday morning, I went to Dr. Jeager's office to ask about my father's ring. Then Jeager cut my arm to see what would happen, and right when blood was going to drip out, titan smoke began to run out of the cut. It filled the room up and by the time the smoke cleared, there was barely a scar." I said. Jen's eyes were widened as she stood in front of me. Mariana, as always had no expression.

"So why are you giving her a couple of days to heal?" Mariana asked Jeager. "Because her titan ability will heal her. I sat there leaning against the head of the bed with my moth slightly open for a sigh.

"I'm going to go now. If there is any problem, come get me as fast as possible!" Said Jeager leaving that room.
"Can you guys please not tell anyone!" I said once Jeager left the room.
"Sure, no problem." Replied Jen.
I looked over at Mariana, waiting for her response.
"I can't trust Tom." Mariana said changing the subject.
"What! Why? He helped us save your life!" I snapped. Mariana turned away stood completely still.
"There's something about him that I don't trust. If I were you, I would keep an eye in him." Mariana replied. I rolled my eyes and yawned, letting out some more off the smoke. I rolled over to my side, but quickly rolled back, not remembering about the hip injury.

"Me and Mariana are going to go back, you get some rest." Said Jen. I nodded my head and they left. I inched my way back into the blankets to cover my cold shoulders. I looked up at the ceiling. My eye lids got heavier and heavier every time I tried to keep them up. So I let my eye lids fall and went to sleep.

"So how did you know Lilly?" Asked a voice who sounded really familiar. I woke up to the voices that were in my room, but I didn't open my eyes because I wanted to hear who and what they were talking about.
"We met on the day the titans broke Wall Maria. And we've been friends since, I even think she likes me!" Said the voice. I know who it is now, it's Tom, but how could he be in here?
"Oh, so you were there during that too?" Said the other voice. I've recognised the second voice, it's Shaun.
"So, Shaun, where are you from?" Asked Jen. Why are they in here? Jen's fine, but the other two can't be in here!
"From Trost District." Said Shaun. I heard that the door opened and someone was stomping in.
"What are you all doing here?!" Yelled someone who I think is Mariana.
"They just wanted to see how she was. It's no big deal." Panicked Jen.
"It is a big deal! We got orders from a captain to not let ANYONE else, besides me and you in here. And you disobeying that order!" Yelled Jen.
"Why?" Asked Tom.
"It's non of your damn business Tom!
Yelled Mariana again.
"You two, please get out. If you want to know that badly of how Lilly is doing, just ask!" Mariana commanded.

Finally I opened my eyes, and saw that Jen was was sitting in a chair, Tom was leaning on the wall, Mariana standing near the door way. And Shaun, standing next to my bed. I looked up into his light blue eyes.
"Guys, she's awake." Said Shaun, in a soft voice. The other three quickly turned their heads, to see if Shaun was saying the truth, or pulling a joke.

"What time is it?" I asked. Jen looked up at the clock on the wall and said "8:00 pm." I rubbed my eyes and sat up leaning against the wall.
"Did you guys miss dinner?" I asked.
"No, we ate fast so we could have time to see you. We also brought you some food." Replied Shaun. I looked over to the table next to me and saw that there was a tray with a roll, and a bowl of some kind of hot liquid. Probably some kind of soup.
"Thank you." I said as I grabbed the tray and put it on my lap.

Suddenly the bell rang, telling us it's time to go to our cabins. Shaun and Tom said goodbye and they left.
I looked over at Mariana and Jen, who were both scowling at each other.
"Don't tell her." I heard Jen whisper. Mariana shook her head and said "She's gonna find out sometime."
"I already know." I said. Mariana and Jen looked over at me. With Mariana's usual blank face and Jen's surprised face.
"You don't know what we're talking about!" Jen snapped with some panic in her voice.
"Yes, I do. I was awake, just had my eye lids closed. I know that you brought in Tom and Shaun. And that Mariana came in and tried to get them out." I replied. Jen lowered her head in shame.

Eventually Jen lifted her head and changed the subject.
"Mariana, where were you when we were eating?"
Mariana closed the door and leaned on it before she said anything.
"Battlow had me talk to the commander of the Survey Corps." Said Mariana. I widened my eyes, the commander of the brigade that we trying to get into! Why would he need to speak with Mariana?
"Really? Why?" I asked. Mariana sighed and eventually said "Dr. Jeager wanted me as a witness about your titan ability."
