Usually Anna got first dibs on her family cabin but since it was such short notice she luckily had acquired a reservation because it was still busy even on a Sunday. Her cabin was expensive to those that rented it, yet so worth it. Her father called it the King's Cabin because it was the highest up on the mountain. It was also by far the biggest and the best.

Colin used to compete in skiing events when Mt. Ashland hosted them, which was what encouraged her father to build twenty cabins on a side mountain that resembled a resort like his many resorts all over the world. Anna's father was well known for his own unique personal service for his customers and worked with the owner of the establishment to make it highly successful. He wanted to help his friend and they treated Colin and his family as if it were an honor to have them stay for good relationships lasted long and far. Now that Colin had sold the other nineteen cabins on the hill to the owners of the resort, they at least kept the biggest cabin that guaranteed their stay. Even though they rented it out, Anna had always been treated like royalty at the resort and was allowed many freedoms of the establishment. Even if it were reserved for the dates that Anna and her family needed the cabin, the reservations of the other party would be moved to a slightly less equal cabin but for half the price. Colin made sure to stress to his family that giving enough heads up to reserve their cabin was respectful. Anna usually followed that rule, but this was a desperate situation.

The elegance of Anna's cabin was exquisite. The designer took full advantage of the natural scenery by making decorative tables, shelves, and accessories out of the surrounding trees that had fallen over the years. She could see all the cabins below hers, but only a few of the cabins were close enough to see shadowed movement behind her windows when they looked up. Anna didn't want to draw attention until she knew which cabin Jake was staying in. She like the discreteness her cabin allotted but closed the front curtains of the giant windows to be safe.

With a rush Anna felt each moment counted. She unpacked what she needed for one night and set up her surroundings for comfort. Anna opened the two large gift baskets in the center of the greeting table that displayed an array of what the lodge had to offer. Her father gave similar ones at his resorts. Anna's refrigerator was stocked from a list in her profile from the questionnaire she had filled out years ago and updated when necessary. When she had made the reservations, she had arranged to host a nightcap for two. The chef hooked her up according to the note left on the basket as well as the time her display was to arrive. Anna giggled loud and jumped up in the air waving her arms to release her earlier tension.

Not wanting her evening to be interrupted, Anna sent a text to her dad.

"Hi Daddy, just got here. They set up for me very generously. I love this place and Stacy looked like she stepped into a fairy land. Thank you so much Daddy. I love you and will send a text tomorrow. I have several packages being sent to the house and will pack them up to take with us to our island when I get home. Did you get a hold of Nate? We still might head down there if the next show encourages us. Love you."

Anna knew she wouldn't have to wait long for her father to respond and she wasn't disappointed.

"Wonderful Princess, glad you made it safe. Yes, Nate and Kayleen will be ready for you when you arrive as it is reserved for you. Just confirm with the front desk if you continue with your trip to keep that reservation. Talk to you tomorrow. Love you more." Colin sent a text message back.

Anna felt freer than she ever felt! Now to trick her King, she thought.

She checked to make sure the pills Harmony gave her were still in her purse.

They were.

It was early evening, just enough time to grab a couple hours of light before night skiing opened.
