A tink, tink, tink, sounded in the distance. Jake heard it, but he couldn't tell what it was. Tink, tink, tink, a second time. He was too tired to figure it out, and the only way he cared to move was if he smelled smoke. Jake's eyes refused to be disturbed by the light of any kind. Tink, tink, tink, a third time. His body knew he should move and see what the hell the noise was, but he felt melted into the bed. It sounded like it came from outside, but he couldn't be sure. It wasn't like any knuckle he heard on any door. It sounded more like a spoon tapping against a stainless-steel sink. The least he tried to do was listen, but not intently, for it could just be a branch hitting the window. Jake opened one eye with much effort. He could hear the sound but couldn't see anything. The room wasn't completely dark, for the outside streetlamps illuminated shadows through the curtain for he had only the inner layer pulled shut. Tap, tap. Tap, tap. Where in the hell is that sound from? Jake wondered then closed his eye to match the other.

His body felt as heavy as a beached shark. His eyes felt opened because he found himself staring at his ceiling. He wasn't sure if it was a noise that awoke him or if it was a feeling. He noticed a hole at the top of his wall where the vent used to bed. It was missing. He saw two lines of pink that stretched down towards the floor.

His eyes moved to his feet, but his body felt too dense to move. On the side of his bed, he saw a black mound of fur move by his toes. The silky hair brushed along his foot. Jake wanted to kick at it to have a chance to jump up, but his foot wasn't responding.

Without his head turning to help his eyes see what was moving along the side of the bed, they strained and focused even harder. By the time the mound of hair moved up towards his hip, it started to life. Jake could feel his heart race horribly fast and he tried to move but still was immobile. After the mound raised high enough to expose a pair of eyes. In the dark Jake could see the seafoam green orbs that seemed to glow in the dark. It was Anna. Not being able to move, Jakes heart signaled his brain to scream.

The only sound Jake could muster was "No" in a grunt that didn't give character to the letters of the word. His finger twitched by her eyes that was staring at him like a predator, then he heard her roll under his bed. Jake tried to move his fingers more, but the stinging of his nerves waking up made moving painful.

It wasn't clear how much time passed, maybe seconds, or minutes, but he wasn't looking away from the spot of his bed where he saw her. He listened intently but heard nothing. Thinking it was his imagination, Jake started to relax. He was barely able to move his hand, but his foot started to twitch. Not wanting to be his monoclinic in the bed, he was afraid his angles were going to freeze into position, and he'd became a permanent fixture to his environment. Someone would have to lift the blanket under him to move him.

Almost as if Jake's mind followed the request of his thought, he floated up like a feather caught by the wind just a few inches above his bed. He was able to stretch his limbs strait like a creeping wine being unwound and stretched. Gently his body lowered down onto his bed gentler than a baby set in his bassinet.

Feeling weightless as if he were floating underwater, Jake was able to turn onto his side and stared into Anna's face as she was lying right next to him. His heart fluttered like a hummingbird's wings, but his body felt like jelly and he couldn't control his muscles to move.

Anna's face looked pale and shadowed in the crevasses of her eyes, in the creases of her nose, and around the fullness of her mouth which made her dark red lips look large. Her teeth looked sharp. His heart skipped erratically in no rhythmic succession. Jake was too afraid to close his eyes to make her disappear because he knew what Anna was capable of when he wasn't paying attention.

Fear froze him to the mattress. He was unable to move as she ran her hand lightly down his body, past his hip to cup his member with her hand. He was able to jump from her touch and turn over as if he were a piece of bacon being flipped. Anna reached her hand to his hip and turned him towards her until he was lying flat on his back.

With the quickness of a ninja and the flexibility of a gymnast, Anna jumped and landed delicately on top of him. He felt drugged like the night she controlled in his room at the casino. This time however, he was fully aware of what was going on. Anna's face seemed to pale even more under the dark shadows of her face. But her eyes seem to glow brighter that he felt he could dive in them like the ocean. Her hair was matted and wildly dramatic especially since it was straight and smooth like silk when she was lying down.

It felt as if she had gained weight within the few minutes, for his hips pushed deeper into the mattress from her sitting up. Anna was looking down at him, and when she smiled, her teeth were as black as tar. A wet spittle formed on her bottom lip then started to move down the sides of her mouth. Her saliva was as red as blood, but thick like mucus. Grossed out, Jake started to struggle.

Trapped against the bed by her legs, Jake watched as she lifted her shirt off. Her breasts were supported by a low-cut nursing bra. Her belly was hugely stretched as if she had swallowed a basketball. Jake kept staring at it. The belly started to move wildly, stretching out in mutated movements. He wasn't sure if it was a baby, or a lifeform for which he had never encountered. Again, Jake struggled as Anna grabbed his hand without his control. He used everything he had to pull back so she couldn't put it on her moving belly. Whatever was inside reached out to him and he could see four fingers clearly. Then the solidity of a hand reached for him. Anna's skin was as thin as a layer of glue for how far the baby's arm pushed out. Just as Jake was about to touch the child's palm with his, the small hand immediately retracted. Jake was able to snatch his hand away as well, only to feel his arm fall with the weight of lead to his side.

"Get off!" He screeched in a horse whisper. He couldn't scream through his fear. She raised her hand and with an expression of contorted rage she swung her arm with a strength evident through her swing. Jake felt the incredible force as her hand contacted his cheek. His face felt crushed in horrible pain.

Anna was laughing with delight. The red thick drool slowing escaping from her mouth started to move down her chin towards her neck. Fear gripped him again when Anna leaned forward to kiss him. With her belly in the way, she was able to stick her ass in the air and roll forward to reach Jake's lips. Jake was able to feel the alien inside her body as it laid against his skin. Whatever was in her stomach started touching his stomach. He got the impression the baby was trying to transfer from his mother's body to inside his by the scratching it was doing.

A scream caught in his throat. Anna had a cigarette in her hand. She put it in her lips and inhaled deeply. Smoke blew out of her mouth to form a heart that disappear around Jake's face. Anna laughed wildly and dropped the cigarette on the bed, catching it on fire. Jake panicked, tried to roll her off the bed, as the fire flamed up around his feat. He tried to scream for someone to hear him, but nothing came as of his throat which started to burn. His lungs were inhaling the smoke that was filling up in the room. The curtains caught on fire and Jake started to cough. Finally, he rolled off the bed and landed on the floor. Jake jerked awake.

The room was empty, and he was no longer in a room with Anna. His heart was pounding so hard, he wasn't sure if he was having a panic attack or a stroke. Slowly he concentrated on breathing, while he looked at his surroundings. It took a minute to brush the cobwebs from his brain as focused on his confused sleep.

It was the sound of the alarm that was sounding loud in his ears that Jake knew it was all a dream. The vent was fine, one corner seemed to be pushed out barely but that could have been like that before he fell asleep. Wanting to leave and get home to his family, Jake took a quick shower to refresh his system.

Checking his phone, Jake finally read the message Anna sent him. His father said he had to lead her home, not talk to and hang out with her. He couldn't respond to her. He was too mad for what she did to Brittany and how she tried to ruin his life.

Put his bag in his truck then ran back to leave two dollars on the table and grab the bags of food he brought in but hadn't yet touched. Jake caught sight of Anna's little blue car. The resign of his nightmare still fresh in his mind.

After he left a quick text to his parents that he was leaving, he stared at his phone. Upset there was no message from Stacy still, Jake left another message before leaving.
