Outside around Dana's grave was a small garden that flourished with bright floral plants. Her grave was marked with a stone that was painted with a picture of a sexy bunny skiing. Nate had also bought a sculpture of an Angel carved in stone to stand at the head of his mother's grave to protect her. He visits his mother once a month to get away from his busy life and to keep his head on as straight as possible.
Once his father passed away, Nate visited the cabin for the first time and started to clean it out. He gave it a makeover and in doing so found a little hiding spot in the wall. In that spot were letters from his mother to him when he got old enough to read them. She told of her love for Colin and to forgive him because his heart was good. It was his head that was easily manipulated by Tessa the snake.
In every letter she wrote, she started off with words of love for her son. Dana ended her letters the same way. It made Nate feel close to her. Sometimes he could see Dana's presence walking on the property. Occasionally she touches Nate's head which makes him smile. Nate wished his mother would have done different. She knew about Colin's relationship with Tessa and still stayed at the Idaho cabin away from her family and friends. She was confined and started to go crazy after being alone so often. She claimed Colin had to work hard since his parents passed away, but she knew Tessa was with him. She would be alive today had she just left and hopped on a plane home. But her letters stated that having a baby would change things.
"It sure did Mom." Nate said to his mother before he bid her wishes and a goodbye.
After finding out his mother had died at the cabin he was born in, Nate started to remember her face in his dreams. He dreamt of her often, but they usually ended up nightmarish with his mother's face held under water by his arm. There are so many of those dreams. When he gets his bad girls off the streets, those dreams go away for a little while.
It was strange that Tessa was killed by Colin and Anna never looked anything up about her. Nate had looked up her story when he worked at the Colorado resort. Maybe naturally Anna didn't really want to know her mother because her subconscious remembered all the pain Tessa physically caused her.
After the funeral, Colin stayed a few days to get Anna and Harmony settled in. Nate checks in with his sister often. Anna and Harmony turned Diamond Island into a gorgeous travel destination that was famous. The town worked together, and it started to grow in many different ways. She was amazed by what her father had done for the people of Diamond Island and the relationships they formed.
Anna has a boyfriend that helped her though missing her father who she claimed to see often. Anna told Nate once, that Dana was Colin's first love and they walked through the gardens together sometimes. He wasn't sure how she could see them so clearly but since hearing voices in his head from the time he was a kid, Nate believed her. Tessa never shows up, since Anna stopped wearing her necklace with her mother's blood in it.
Harmony played around with the guys but wasn't settling down until she met the right one. She is in no rush. Harmony's mother decided to have her main house on Diamond Island, so she sold her house in Washington, combined skills for the girls in advertising while she traveled with her best girlfriend that she planned to marry next year. Harmony loved the whole situation.
Nate showed up at his home in Washington. His groundskeeper Anthony was visiting his daughters who graduated from college and were highly successful. He put a better security system on the house after he found his father's letter which told him everything he needed to know about the house and the soil for the garden. Like his mother's letters, it was written with love throughout it. He was planning of making good use of the rooms.
Nate had known his father didn't want Stacy buried but since she was found in his personal graveyard of the misbehaved, Nate was trying to find somewhere else to bury his precious girls. Because his private collection was discovered, Nate felt they were stolen from him.
Under the glowing stars, it was soundless other than the cooing of nature. Nate followed the wonderland of plants, which looked mysterious and eerie at night. It gave him a feeling of comfort. Nate's treehouse wasn't immediately visible for he had protected and built nature around it so the house would blend in to even the most experienced eye. He couldn't risk anyone knowing what was inside.
Nate looked in his mirror and saw the demon moving within him. There was no need for a wife, when he had a hobby.
Nate came out of the treehouse near the grinder he used with a half-screaming girl on his back to mulch. He was grateful that their area was secluded. The only place Nate could bury his collection was in the dark woods behind the grinder.
Now that Nate knew what Colin's special ingredient for the garden was, he decided to make his own blend. Virgin blood may have been readily available back when the first owner owned the house, but nowadays that age reach is about fourteen. Nate wasn't into killing kids. So, he had to go with the next best thing, but the blood that he got from hookers he picked up turned the white tree into black within the year. Some of the flowers changed color also, but it gave it a darker more mysterious garden. Nate loved it.
The groggy girl started struggling harder by the time he got her to the grinder. He had played with her for several days before tiring of her whines and complaints. Nate only picked up the prostitutes in California and Oregon to bring home for his garden, and ONLY when he couldn't quiet his need.
Nate laid the battered girl on the table.
"Mr. I won't charge you. We'll just call it even, a freebee. Just let me go, I won't tell anyone."
Nate didn't respond.
"Please... what are you doing? What are you going to do?" She screamed.
"I have to keep my garden pretty for Anna." Nate replied.
With a glint in his eye, Nate gave the girl a wicked smile.
Then he turned on grinding machine.
Nobody could hear the girl scream.
