Harmony was livid and a bit confused as to what Anna was thinking. Instead of spending a full day with Bryce shopping then a sexy night out, her euphoria was interrupted by her arch enemy Stacy. Seeing Stacy while shopping put her in a bad mood but when she told her that Anna was following Jake it put her in a murderous rage. Harmony ran everything Stacy had told her in her head. She was more livid with Anna than anything. How dare her go on a trip without her. If Anna was lying to her this whole time about her trip, then that meant she also might be lying about her father going with her. With how hurt Harmony was feeling, she decided all promises were off the table. If Anna was going to lie to her then she was going to make sure the lie was worth it.
Barely able to sit for a quick bite with Bryce, she felt bad about ranting about Stacy after running into her, so she made him drop her off at her house. Her mother was out of town until Thursday and it was only Tuesday so Harmony found it odd that someone had left tire tracks through the thick snow in her driveway and road. Harmony didn't turn the lights on in the front of her house though it was dark now, because she was afraid that from the stories she heard on TV they were looking for Jolene's killer. It wasn't going to be long before they gathered a list of witnesses in their search that would be traced back to Anna. Since Anna was using Harmony's name that meant they were probably looking for her too. She was sure Stacy hated her so why would she tell her about Anna and Jake, she wondered. Harmony knew Stacy would know that her father had to know about Jolene so she wondered how much her dad actually shared with her. Hopefully nothing, Harmony thought. The whole situation was embarrassing and frightening enough without having her enemy rub it in her face.
Harmony moved around her house in the dark. She felt like a criminal even though she had nothing to do with the whole situation. She just didn't feel safe answering questions because she was alone and didn't want to get Anna in big trouble. It affected Harmony also when Colin got angry with Anna. Colin still didn't know that Anna went out or what happened. Harmony was so angry that Anna left her to defend for herself. She kept calling and leaving messages for her so-called sister so they could talk about the situation but Anna kept avoiding her calls and would only respond through text. Once she found out from Stacy that Anna was following Jake and lying to her, she wanted to find out what else she was lying about and to who.
And where was Colin if he wasn't with Anna? Harmony pondered. In her bathroom in the back of he house she made sure she looked good for Colin. She knew if she looked like Colin's wife Tessa, he would be more open to listen to her and not treat her like a kid. She was planning on replacing Tessa in his heart, so had to be spot on every moment she was with him. Turning off all of the lights with the exception of a little nightlight she kept in her room, Harmony make sure everything was locked up and snuck into her mother's garage where her father's truck stood proud.
It was difficult for Harmony to see the cars in front of her through the flakes falling on the window of her Dad's big truck that she usually drove when it snowed. She never experienced a slide as the tires quite easily gripped the road. It was one of the few things she had left from her Dad and she was determined to keep it in perfect condition so she could have it with her for the rest of her life. Her father loved his truck, and she missed her father.
As she drove closer to Colin's house the snow was thicker but not so much that she couldn't get through for the tires on the truck sliced the snow like a hot knife in butter. She was glad she didn't have to hike up the rest of the mountain. There was a light on at the side back of the house when she drove up. It looked like a bluish light you would get from a TV. Even Anthony, the gardener's house was dark. Harmony saw tire tracks along the driveway to Colin's house so he must have ventured out, she assumed. She pulled up to Colin's front door slowly. Harmony wasn't exactly sure who was inside because since everyone was busy moving she didn't know who was home or already at the island. Nate and Kayleen were supposed to be at the house but she didn't see either of their cars, but because of the snow they could be inside one of the garages. The only garage that wasn't accessible was Colin's and she dared not check.
