Harmony cleared her throat a little too loudly. Stacy looked up to see Bryce wave then but walk away to look at something in a different direction to avoid the confrontation between the girls. Harmony glared at him to warn him to stay within earshot. Stacy was irritated that she felt she needed a witness to anything she was going to say. Stacy really didn't feel up to these kind of games and put a mark on what was so far the most perfect day of her life.

"Wow Anna's already throwing that sweater in the trash pile?" Harmony asked staring at Stacy. Suddenly Stacy felt dirty wearing it.

"It's just a little something I borrowed from our friend Anna." Stacy calmly replied the put her arms out and turned in a circle to show Harmony how good she looked in it. That is all Harmony needed to engage with Stacy a few steps closer. Stacy refused to step back even though Harmony was only three feet from her.

"Here you can just give it to me, she won't miss it." Harmony said as she rubbed the sweater of Stacy's arm bringing her way to close for Stacy's comfort.

"The sweater looks good on you but would look better on me." Harmony smiled politely.

"Uh, I don't think that's a good idea. I'll just give it to her myself." Stacy said moving out of Harmony's reach.

"She won't care, really. I take her clothes all the time." Harmony said looking confused as to why Stacy wasn't just handing it over.

"Why do you do that?" Stacy asked.

"Do what, share things with my friends?" Harmony laughed.

"Are they really your friends, or just someone to use?" Stacy asked knowing Harmony would know she meant Skyler and Saturday's night party.

"Isn't that the same thing? My friendships work for me, for what I need. I'm expensive. Everyone wants a piece of me. They want to be there when I reach the top." Harmony purred with an evil smile before she looked at Stacy from head to toe.

Stacy smiled back, but kept her expression passive. Her insides were already starting to boil at the memory of Skyler walking away with Harmony on his arm on the night of the party. She didn't want to let on that it bothered her to talk to Harmony, like a boil on tender flesh.

"From my view, it seems to me that you don't mind borrowing from 'a friend'." Harmony said sardonically and ran her hand up along Stacy's other arm feeling the fabric of the sweater.

Stacy shifted uncomfortably.

"Anna is my best friend and we share everything. So how about you just give me the sweater and I give it back to her myself." Harmony said with sweetness of honey glistening from her lips. Stacy wasn't fooled.

"No that's all right. Like I said, I will give it to her myself when she gets back." Stacy replied easily.

"How do you know she is gone?" Harmony asked suspiciously.

"Because I know she is with my brother Jake." Stacy answered knowing that it wasn't fully true but didn't think Harmony knew that.

Stacy wanted to punch Harmony in her eye with the raised eyebrow to shut her up but refrained from responding to Harmony's goading. Silently she wished for the floor to open so she could watch Harmony fall through. Stacy smiled. Harmony smiled back but there was a glint in her eyes the instantly put Stacy on alert.

"So Jake met Anna's Dad. That must have been awkward. Colin hasn't really met any of Anna's guy friends." Harmony fished.

"No, Anna was traveling alone. Jake said he didn't see anyone else with her and has spent a lot of tiem with Anna."
