Lost-Chapter 7

"Austin Carter Mahone, I want an explanation this instant!" The man, Dave, called from the front doorway. All of the boys cracked up, Austin included.

"Man look at Dave, trying to be all commanding!" Tyler laughed and the rest of the boys piggybacked off of what he said making funny comments and giggling. Austin walked away from me and jumped on Dave, tackling him to the ground before all the boys jumped on him. Soon the room was filled with Dave's loud pleas for help and the laughter of all the boys and even myself. Shaking my head I walked over to the fridge and searched for orange juice, I poured myself and glass and turned around nearly running into Alex.

"Whoops! Sorry," I apologized and he gave me a half smile. I scooted around him and found myself face to face with Robert, he cleared his throat and I raised my eyebrows taking a sip of my orange juice.

"I believe we got off on the wrong foot-" He began and I snickered almost spitting my juice all over him.

"No, I believe you just don't know how to approach a stranger. Much less a girl." I told him and in response I heard a big hearty laugh erupt from the body that belonged to the new stranger Dave. I smiled self-conciously and walked back to the sink where I rinsed my now empty glass before placing it on the counter.

"I don't believe we have been formally introduced," A voice said from behind me, "I'm Dave, Austin's stepdad." He smiled warmly at me and I couldn't help but smile back.

"I'm LaMaya," I said to him holding out my hand. He gave it a nasty look before picking me up and throwing me over his shoulder. "Whatcha doin bud?" I asked Dave feeling surprisingly safe despite my current position.

"Come on, Austin!" Dave said ignoring me completely, "We have to go!"

"Go where?" I asked from my surprisingly comfortable spot on Dave's shoulder.

"Oh yeah! I forgot!" Austin exclaimed running back into his room, I squirmed a little to get Dave's attention.

"What's wrong, shortie?" He asked turning his head towards me.

"Okay..first off I'm not short, secondly put me down!" I replied squirming in his firm grip. He chuckled as he set me on the ground.

"You are short." Zach said as he brushed my shoulder, passing by me and Dave. I rolled my eyes and walked back into my room, looking for shoes and wishing I knew where we were supposedly going.

"May-May, come on!" A voice yelled from the main room.

"I'm coming!" I yelled back grabbing my blue high tops and my beats, hopefully someone had a spare ipod I could listen to. As I ran out of my room I saw that everyone else had left except for Austin. "Where are we going?" I asked as I hopped towards him struggling to put on my other shoe. He laughed and caught me as I nearly fell over, balancing not being my strong suit.

"I have some interviews today and I had invited the crew to come along, before meeting you of course." He explained grinning at me.

"The crew?" I said bewildered. Austin helped me up and laughed kissing my nose sweetly,

"You'll figure it out soon enough. Come on, can't be late!" He said grabbing my hand and I couldn't help but lock our fingers as we walked out of the room and down the hall towards the elevator. This was going to an interesting day I thought to myself and for the first time since I had fallen down in the airport, I felt completely happy and at ease.
