You grumbled quietly as you adjusted your corset and smoothed out the wrinkles in your dress as you listened to the man you held done underneath your foot whine and complain. You pressed the heel of your shoe further into his back in an attempt to get him to shut up. As soon as your fellow officers had arrived to capture the criminal you'd taken out, you'd lifted up your foot off his back and let your allies take him away.

"Thank god that's over with..." you mumbled as you dusted off your hands, "Now I can go to the bar and have a few drinks."

After a long day of work you wanted nothing more than to go to your favorite tavern, have some drinks, play some poker or blackjack, and then head back to your home for the night. You smiled softly to yourself as you adjusted your (h/l) (h/c) hair and walked skillfully in amongst the crowds of people in the streets.

A few people who recognized you looked your way with a smile or a nod of approval. You were quite popular in this town since you were the best officer the people had ever seen. You could catch even the most cunning and dangerous of criminals, and the people of the town admired your bravery and skill.

Even though you had managed to hunt down some of the most notorious criminals, you were still searching for one man in particular: a pirate by the name of Oikawa. Even though you'd seen him multiple times, you'd never caught him. Somehow, he'd manage to slip away from your sight each time. He was very annoying in that sense.

You tried to take your mind off of him and off of your work as you arrived at your favorite tavern at the end of the road and stepped inside. Immediately, the sounds of hearty laughter throbbed in your ears, and the wonderful smell of liquor entered your nose. The warm and bustling tavern, along with the bar that glittered with the glasses of various drinks, made you feel more at ease than anything else after a long day of work.

"Ushiwaka!" you cooed to the bartender as you sat down on a stool in front of the bar, "Fix me up the usual, would you please?"

The tall man gave you his usual glower in response to your casual greeting. He'd seen you enough times to know what you wanted to drink and he'd spoken to you enough for you to coax his name out of him, which was where he made his first mistake.

You giggled quietly at his reaction as he turned his back to you and started making your drink. "How's your day been, Ushiwaka?" you asked, resting your elbow on the counter and watching his olive colored eyes as they fluttered around to find the different drinks he needed to make yours.

"I've been fine. And what's up with that nickname? It's annoying..." he grumbled, setting down your completed drink on the counter in front of you.

You took a long and well-deserved swig of the alcohol before letting out a sigh of satisfaction. "Thank you. And what do you mean? I like your nickname!" you responded, raising an eyebrow at him.

"Well, there's only one other person who calls me that. He's been frequenting here quite often..." the bartender stated.

"Mm? And who would that be?"

"How much do you have?"

"I've got about five bullets left in my revolver for anyone who wants to test me." You took another drink, satisfied by the slightly shocked look that appeared on his features for a moment. "So? Who is it?"

The man hesitated before mumbling, "He's at the poker table to your right. He's wearing the blue coat."

You glanced over your right shoulder and soon spotted the flashy attire of the man to whom he was referring. You froze, clenching your free hand into a fist. The man that he'd pointed out was the man you were chasing relentlessly. Yet there he was, sitting a few feet away, laughing loudly and joking around with his crew as he played poker with them.
