Fight {Hinata Shouyou} (Request)

Tokyo Ghoul AU where everyone is a ghoul, and the different schools compete for territory and feeding grounds.

Just a heads up, I've never watched Tokyo Ghoul before in my life so I'm sorry if I get stuff mixed up (◍•﹏•)

You pointed to a spot on a map. "This is what we want, right?" you asked for clarification, looking at the members of the Karasuno boys' volleyball team who were surrounding you.

"Yes, we're trying to take over that old parking lot and the area around it to use as feeding grounds. But we're going to have to fight with Aobajohsai over it, since they have territory close by," Daichi explained.

Nishinoya licked his lips with joy. "A lot of people walk past that old structure on their ways to and from work, but they would never think to go inside of it!"

Tanaka laughed and exclaimed, "Let's take it for ourselves!"

Sugawara frowned and warned, "Be careful. We can't underestimate the strength of Aobajohsai."

You nodded in agreement and worked with the team of ghouls to map out different routes to take to get to the parking lot so that they could overtake anyone who was already there. Everyone was expecting to have to fight for that parking lot, and you couldn't help but feel nervous about the situation.

When you'd first attended Karasuno, you though that you'd be a lone ghoul in a sea of normal people, but you were wrong. Even though a minority of the school's attendants were ghouls, you were still glad that you weren't the only one. Your best friend, Hinata, had quickly introduced you to the boys' volleyball team, which was full of ghouls. There, in the gym, you'd found a safe haven for people like you. You always felt more secure when you were around them, especially Hinata, since you knew he would do anything to protect you.

Now, you were helping the boys on the team obtain more territory to use as feeding grounds both for themselves and for anyone else at the school who was a ghoul. The entire ghoul population at your school was a part of this plan, but they were relying on all of you to lead it.

"Alright, well now's the perfect time to go, so let's go," you stated with a confident smile to hide your nervousness.

Everyone nodded and murmured in agreement before getting up and heading out of the gym. You walked with Hinata and Kageyama, while Tsukishima and Yamaguchi trailed behind the three of you.

"Just thinking about getting these new feeding grounds is making me hungry!" Hinata complained.

"If you mess up this plan because you're hungry, I swear I'll—"

Hinata and Kageyama started arguing heatedly, so you shut them both up by elbowing them in the side. "Shut up! Don't cause a scene," you growled, noticing that their yelling had caught the attention of a few bystanders. They both shut their mouths and grumbled under their breath making you elbow them again.

Eventually, you arrived at the parking structure and saw everyone else on the team enter from different sides. Upon entering the structure, the first thing you noticed was that you weren't alone. In a darker corner, you saw the forms of people standing around, and heard their conversation.

Upon sensing your presences, the other people turned around and emerged from the shadows. Right away, you recognized the captain of Aobajohsai's volleyball team, and he stared directly at you. "Ah, little (f/n)-chan! How wonderful to see you!" Oikawa simpered.

You didn't make any response as you watched him with a cold glare.

"Aww, you're giving me the cold shoulder? What did I ever do to you?" he asked, feigning a wounded tone. He sauntered across the parking lot, making his way over to you and standing in front of you. He smiled brightly as he looked at you. "You're so cute. I know exactly why you and your friends are here. You think you can just swoop in and claim this place for yourselves, don't you?"

He reached out towards you and placed a hand on your shoulder, making you flinch and move away from him. Hinata and Kageyama quickly stepped in, putting themselves between you and Oikawa and shielding you from him.

"Don't touch her," Hinata warned menacingly.

"Or else...? What are you going to do to me, shrimp?" Oikawa challenged with a devious smirk on his face.

"Just stay away," Kageyama added, his dark blue eyes narrowed.

Oikawa's smile soon became more strained before it finally turned into a frown. "You know, I thought we could get on nicely and settle this peacefully, but I really, really hate people who get in my way," he snarled.

You saw Oikawa grow out a set of claws to attack Kageyama and Hinata with, so you tackled him from the side and pushed him onto the concrete floor of the parking structure. Before you could react enough to defend yourself, however, you felt searing pain tear through your abdomen, making you scream. You looked down at the source of the pain, and you saw Oikawa's claws stabbed through your skin.

He laughed evilly and got up, still holding your body on his claws. "I'm too strong for you, babe. I'm sorry you had to figure that out after it was too late." He put his hand on your shoulder and extracted his claws from you before pushing you over, sending your body falling to the ground again.

You cried out both in pain and in shock, your eyes wide with terror. Tears began to spill out of your eyes as you watched blood pour out of your wounds. You weren't going to survive and you knew it.

Oikawa wanted to finish you off, but he saw the looks on the faces of the boys around him, and he backed off, feeling afraid for one of the first times in his life. Everyone was glaring at him in a way that revealed the murderous rage they felt towards him. He knew that nobody was going to let him escape with his life. This fight was no longer about territory; it was about revenge.

Hinata rushed over to you and kneeled down beside you. "(F/n)! W-Why would you do that?!" he gasped. His brown eyes were wide before he closed them tightly, feeling worry and nausea upon looking at the situation you were in.

"Because... I love you..." you responded, wincing as you struggled to breathe. The pain was starting to become too much for you, and you didn't know how much longer you'd be able to remain here with him.

When Hinata opened his eyes again, they were filled with tears. He leaned down towards you and pressed a kiss against your lips, and you felt his hot tears drop onto your cheeks. When he pulled away, he looked down into your eyes, furiously wiping away his tears only to have more pour down his cheeks.

"I-I'm sorry t-that I never told you h-how much I loved you! I-I'm sorry that I never c-confessed to you and b-bought you your favorite f-flowers! I-I'm so sorry!" he apologized in between sobs. He pressed his face into your chest as if willing your heart to beat with more strength.

"Shouyou..." you said softly as tears began to flood your eyes and stream down your cheeks, "it's okay. None of that stuff... None of it matters now. You can put those pretty flowers... on my grave. I just... want one thing." He lifted his head from your chest and watched you with tear-filled eyes. "I want you... to fight for me. I know you can. Don't let my death be in vain. Fight."

He nodded rapidly. "I will," he promised. He kissed your lips again. "I promise I will."

You smiled softly at him as your final breath escaped your lips. With that, your body ceased to function, and you surrendered your life.

Knowing that you were gone made Hinata cry harder, and Kageyama relinquish his murderous gaze at Oikawa to hang his head in sorrow. Hinata held onto your lifeless body for a bit longer before holding back the rest of his tears and standing up. He raised his head and faced Oikawa.

"I promised (f/n) that I would fight for her, and that's exactly what I'm going to do," he stated strongly.

As Oikawa looked around at all of your supporters, a feeling of dread rose inside of him. He knew that he'd made an irreversible mistake, and, for the first time, he realized that he wasn't going to make it out of this situation alive.

For once, the Grand King had initiated a war that he wasn't going to win.
