You had no idea what you were doing. You had no idea why you were wasting your time away at such a glamorous casino, practically feeding your money to the sparkling machines and letting them devour it. Why were you doing this?

You inhaled the nauseating smell of cigarette smoke and coughed slightly. It wasn't something you were ever going to get used to, especially since you didn't visit casinos often. You would've liked to stay away from them more, but your friends had invited you to come with them.

You were supposed to be on a date with some guy that your friends had set you up with in an attempt to help you find your soulmate, but he'd been a right asshole, so you'd found an excuse to slip away and hide in amongst the gamblers. Speaking of dates, your friend was supposed to be on one right now with another one of your rather handsome guy friends, and you wondered how that was going.

After what seemed like an eternity, you finally managed to pull yourself away from the machines. The sound of them was annoying you, and the cigarette smoke was irritating your lungs and making your head hurt. Luckily, you'd avoided having too much to drink, so you were able to walk straight and see clearly.

"Guess I got all dressed up for nothing," you grumbled as you straightened out your (favorite color) cocktail dress and pushed your (h/l) (h/c) hair away from your face. As you sashayed away from the casino, turning down drinks that were offered to you, you found yourself glancing down at the symbol tattooed on your ribs that you could see through a slightly sheer panel in your dress.

Apparently there was supposed to be someone out there with the exact same symbol tattooed on their own body, but you had no clue who it was. At this point, you were tired of searching.

You pressed a button to call the elevator and waited patiently, watching people laughing and drinking together as they gambled in the casino. You wished you were having that kind of fun with your friends, but your stupid date had ruined everything for you. Now you just wanted to go to your room, eat chocolate, and sleep.

"Hey, (f/n), what are you doing?" you heard a familiar voice call to you. You turned around and saw none other than your friend, Sugawara, approaching you. "Leaving so soon?"

You nodded as your eyes started to water. Whether they were filling with tears as a sign of sadness and disappointment or as a result of a natural reflex, you weren't sure. "It's been a pretty shitty night," you murmured.

The elevator soon arrived and the two of you entered before pressing the button for your different floor levels. "I'm sorry to hear that. I'm in the same boat, though," Suga responded with a weak smile. His normally bright and sparkly brown eyes looked weary and dull. "What happened to you?"

You sighed and leaned against the side of the elevator. "The guy that my friend set me up with turned out to be a total asshole, so I left him," you explained, wiping your eyes carefully so that you didn't smear your makeup, "So, yeah, that made me feel great."

Before you could stop them, tears started to stream down your face, and you turned away from your friend as you tried to regain your composure. As the elevator came to a halt on Suga's floor, you felt an arm wrap around your shoulders, and you ended up following him as he led you out of the elevator and down the hall. He slid his room key into the lock on the door and opened it, leading you inside.

You sat down on his bed and put your face in your hands. You felt the bed shift as he sat down next to you and pulled you into a hug. "Hey, I'm sorry that happened to you, (f/n)," he said gently as he rubbed your back, "I was in the same situation. In fact, your friend went out on a date with me, but then she got distracted by another guy, so I left."

You sniffled as you buried your face in his shoulder. "Really?" you asked softly, your voice muffled by the shirt he was wearing.

"Yep. So it looks like we both had horrible dates," he responded. His voice was always so calm and soothing to you. "But just because we had terrible dates, it doesn't mean that we have to suffer the rest of the night."

You pulled away from him slightly and wiped your tears away with a tissue that he handed you. He gently stroked your cheek and brushed your hair behind your ears.

"I'd much rather have you here with me than sitting alone in your room being upset," he admitted shyly, a slight blush creeping onto his cheeks.

You smiled as you looked up at him, your (e/c) eyes meeting with his own brown ones. You didn't say anything and simply took the time to admire his facial features. You reached out towards him and ran your fingers through his silvery strands of hair, making him smile.

The thought of your friend trying to take him away from you suddenly made you feel a bite of jealousy, and your expression soon became serious. "Koushi..." you said, "don't go on anymore dates with (friend's name)." Before he could ask anything else, you added, "I love you more than she ever will."

Suga's eyes widened slightly before he smiled. He leaned down towards you and pressed his lips against your own, making your heart flutter in your chest. "I love you too," he told you before kissing you again, "Maybe that was the reason why our dates didn't work out."

You giggled softly, but you couldn't help but think that you two were somewhat destined to be together. What were the odds of both of your dates going wrong with two different people at exactly the same time? It couldn't be a coincidence.

"But I don't want to be alone... I'm tired of being on my own," you admitted quietly when your lips parted from his for a moment. Your hands moved to the front of his shirt, and your fingers started undoing the buttons of his shirt, revealing more of his skin.

Suga wasn't usually one to express or carry out his sexual desires, but he really did want you. He wrapped his arms around you more tightly as he used his body to push you down onto the bed. He trailed kisses down your neck and to your collarbone as he reached for the zipper of your dress and started to pull it down. At the same time, you undid the buttons of his shirt and pushed it off of him before closing your eyes as he kissed your lips passionately.

You helped him undress you, slipping off your dress after he unzipped it and your bra after he unhooked it. You waited for his next move, but he didn't do anything, making you open your eyes and look at him with confusion. When you saw that he was staring at your body intently, you covered your bare chest with your arms and blushed. "Don't stare at me like that..." you whimpered.

"I'm sorry, I'm not being a pervert," he said quickly as he reached out towards you and touched the spot on your ribs where your tattoo was. You saw a look of awe in his eyes, and you turned your gaze to his own body only to see the same tattoo on his ribs.

"Koushi..." you gasped as your heart fluttered with joy, "We're..."

"Soulmates," he stated happily, finishing your sentence. He wrapped his arms around you and pulled you closer to him, giving you a loving hug and continuing to shower you with kisses. "I feel so lucky to have you, (f/n)."

"I love you so much." You took his face in your hands and peppered it with kisses before meeting his lips with yours. You truly felt grateful that he was your soulmate. You didn't want anyone else.

"I love you too, (f/n). I'll show you."

And he did just that.
